Mastering Driver-assist: A Step-by-step Guide For Your Ford Ranger

@abate1936 end of 2018 (MY19) was when things like autonomous braking became standard on the Wildtrak.

Awesome tutorial, l found that the driver assist was dangerous to have on when you have mud tyres that are 35" or bigger. It Makes the steering very twitching and will jerk as well. Have everything like the intensity low and assist on alert not aid. After countless wheel alignments, new tyres MTs, RTs, Ats from all sorts of sizes, a whole new suspension kit by superior engineering with adjustable res, coilovers SE UCA and LCA, tie rods, sway links and more. We still couldn't figure out the problem why the steering was dangerously unpredictable until someone on KZbin mentioned the driver assist is the cause for unpredictable steering, and should only be used on freeways. So yea if your having issues with unpredictable, twitching, sensitive steering look at having all driving assist off or on low.

Hi there, back with a question. My roller shutter has lost memory. I did try a tutorial on the Ford Australia KZbin channel on how to reprogram it and it doesn't seem to work. I got it from the dealership after service yesterday, they did lubricate it but they didn't automate it. Any idea on how to have it back fully operational again? Regards 🙏🏾

@@Dave-1290r yes, ‘Lane keeping aid’ is standard in all Rangers. If you use the FordPass app on your phone then you can remotely start your engine.

I have the 2021.75 px3 ford ranger xlt 3.2L and it doesn't seem to have the oil life reset? Are you able to confirm if it does or not. The cluster on the 2021.75 only has the 1 digital display in the middle between the larger speedometer and the RPM guage.

Webby I have a 2016 Ford Everest Limited with Sync 2 and I note there is a possibility on the small left screen in the consol to enter navigation I want to engage the talkback function, however on my screen there is only Entertainment and Phone. Is the Traffic sign function not available on my model and is there an upgrade available? Thanks

@Rex Harvey If you've only got entertainment and phone to choose from, it doesn't sound like you've got navigation in your car.

For the 2019 FX4 I can't how to turn on chime for overspeed I use a separate GPS for this now. Can the chime option be added in to the program at an upcoming 20k service? TIA.

Hi Webby, Just a quick question. I was driving my 2019 wildtrak and the display screen went totally black, a message came up a short while later saying update required. It updated when I got home. But before the update, I got a audio message saying caution whenever I came up to a red light camera. After the update I no longer get this message. Any Ideas? Thanks in advance Pete

Does a 2021 Ford Ranger STX have a digital speedometer?

@Juan Carlos Landeros I’m not familiar with the STX model as we don’t get that here in Australia, but I would think it would have a digital speedo. Maybe check with your local Ford dealership to confirm

Does the 2020 Ranger Raptor have any blindspot detection methods? Digital or not?

No, none of the Rangers get any sort of blind spot detection. I imagine we’ll see it on the next Ranger in a couple of years time though

@Patrick Guerrisi maybe check if the sensor in the front bumper to make sure it’s not dirty, if that fails speak to your local ford dealership to see if there’s any issues

@@WebbyOnCars hey no worries. It just happened again in the exact same spot going the same way. In that street its pretty narrow and there are parrellel parked cars on the left. I go about 50-60 km per hour. Not sure if thats related? It may think going at that speed there is something in front

What can I do if the car has automatically disabled the lane keeping function? In my settings (Ranger Wildtrak 2021) I selected alert + aid and also intensity is high, but the car just doesn’t identify lanes anymore. Any idea how to fix this? (I’ve been using the car on the exact same roads for the past 2 months, and now it doesn’t see the lanes on roads where it used to). Thanks in advance!

Far k it worked! Is there a way I can use the metal key to lock all door? Or put another way be able to lock all but drivers door, then use key to manually lock drivers door? I want to leave FOB in the car when I go surfing
