CORRECTION: N-Line DOES have a multi-link rear suspension. We apologize for the confusion!

I much rather own the Elantra GT N-Line over the Veloster N because it has a panoramic sunroof, a bigger trunk, it’s more spacious in the rear seats, plus it doesn’t have that extravagant boy racer image.

Exactly why I got the N Line. How I wish they would have brought the I30 N here though but it still would be lacking all the creature comforts like the sound roof and seats. They should bring it back with an N+ version with AWD that would go against the Golf R and the new Corolla GR
@markkibbe18025 жыл бұрын
One of the upgrades that comes with the N-Line over the base GT is a multi-link rear suspension. The base GT has a torsion beam setup. Other than that, not a bad review. I loved the N-Line when I test drove one. Haven't driven a Veloster N yet, but from what I've seen they are a blast. An N-Line with the DCT and Tech Package is basically the same price as a Veloster N Performance Package, so this seems like the more luxurious option (pano roof, ventilated seats, more cargo room, etc.) while the N is the enthusiast's choice (LSD, more power, lighter, manual only). Love your channel, looking forward to more Volvo content!

Both the Veloster N and the Focus ST are GTI killers. The point of GTI is not just performance....it is the perfect combination between performance, luxury, comfort, design and affordable price. It is in the VW's company goal and traditions. Volkswagen means " People's car". For the GTI's 40th anniversary birthday, VW made the GTI Clubsport, witch was the fastest FWD car at the time / 7:49 Nurburgring lap time/. So they can make the GTI fast if they want to.......the point is to make the perfect package for the daily enthusiast driver who has a normal income and make him feel somehow in a luxury car, not having a plastic dashboard and noisy interior like most of the cars for this price range.........so they made the GTI and did a great job. But Hyundai did amazing job as well, not with the Veloster, but with the I30N and I30N Fastback, witch is my personal favorite, despite the fact that I am a GTI fan. Having Albert Biermann as a chief engineer for the N Division is not a joke. I enjoy to see how the company with the least experience in the auto industry became a World Rally Champion and puts tons of efforts to create a great product and a good brand name. Keep up the GREAT WORK HYUNDAI. We would love to see more from you!!!! And a word to VW - bring the Sirocco GTS to U.S. God damn it!!!

The rear suspension is Hyundai Multi-Link and it is a German design from all the BMW/Audi design engineers that came over to Hyundai. It is so close the the VW/Audi design. It is FULLY adjustable for camber and toe.

I am a big fan of GTI in the hatchback segment, especially in US where the choice of hatchbacks is kind of limited compare to Europe. I wish we had in US the VW Sirocco or Mercedes A45AMG, and than no questions will be asked. But now I am in between GTI and N-line. I know GTI has a big advantage in performance and luxury feel /LSD, less plastic, etc./I almost got convinced to get the N line when I found out there is no sunroof for the manual transmission and M/T is a must for me.That was the Only advantage over the GTI SE and the $5000 price difference witch is a nice half motorcycle. Does the N line feels bigger inside when you drive it compare to the GTI, that's my question witch will make a difference in my choice? Thank you very much....I will not be doing track days and autocross, but want capable car with a great feeling for the road with agile body and peppy engine, must be manual transmission hatchback with 4 doors for a decent price. And if it feels roomy inside I will be more than happy. So VW GTI SE or Hyundai Elantra GT N line, what would you choose? I like the design on both cars, so let's just have in mind the combination of performance, comfort, practicality and price. Thank you!!!

The N-line has a multi-link rear suspension. The Base Model GT utilizes the torsion beam. I would agree that multi-link is more favorable, but there are cars that have a torsion beam that handle just as good, i.e. Fiesta ST.

I’m considering buying the Hyundai Elantra GT N-Line, especially if it will be offered with all the upgrades of the 2021 model year. I like he new 2021 Hyundai Elantra style and features as a sedan but it would even be better if offered as a hatchback with the panoramic moonroof and the 201 hp engine. I think that we might get in the U.S. the Elantra GT N with up to 270 hp. Am I right?

The problem with the Veloster N, as a dealer told me, is that Hyundai is considering this sort of a 'special order' model so they aren't making many. That means dealer gouging. In fact, recently a more expensive (by $10K+) Genesis G70 was much cheaper to lease than a base Veloster N. Go figure.

I own an Australian 2019 N Line DCT. I’ve been driven around in a 2016 1.4TSi VW Golf DSG. I found the i30 roomier but the suspension a bit stiffer. Both DCTs are a tiny bit jerky in slow city speeds. But the N Line is much much faster than the 1.4TSi Golf. I assume engine performance between the GTI and N Line would be similar for the daily commuting. But the GTI has a lot more torque and an LSD on the front axle. So it’d be faster overall, but you wouldn’t notice the difference unless you push it hard.
