I bought this exact car a few weeks ago and I’m in love. I was originally looking at the turbo version until I did research on direct injected engines and found out about the dreaded and unavoidable carbon build up in the intake valves. The 2.0L port injected engine will last longer with minimal cost. Great review by the way! 👌

Justin you made the right choice. I get alot of flack for not adding a turbo to my 2.0L Subaru BRZ. I specifically avoided turbos in order to ensure my engine / car reliable and longevity continues. I also have been an aircraft mechanic for the past 14 years, so I have a little more knowledge then the average joe

Great review! No one reviews the Premium they all flock to the Turbo but the Premium offers a great feature set for those of us that do not need the turbo! Thanks again.

I love the evolutionary styling. I must admit the Turbo models do look a more aggressive. Not saying the 2.0 is bad, it's not. I would prefer the Rspec wheels with the Turbo or Ultimate models interior. That's just me. I'm also happy they moved it to the Elentra GT (from accent) platform and added mulitlink rear ends to every model. Great review and Happy 4th.

Take the back headrest out!!! I did THIS on my 2017 Kia forte!!! Amazing difference!! Try it out it really helps!! Review visabilty is great after removing THIS..... actually pretty much on any vehicle if you have nobody sitting in the back of your car

Is that 2.0L GDI? I just had to service my 2015 accent with the 1.6L GDI... what a headache. Valves were gunked up after only 55k miles.

Justin Boyle I started with a $13 can of cleaner, but it didn’t do much. My mechanic has a better high pressure cleaner. It was $200 total.

From what I have read up, the 2.0 and 2.0 premium have port fuel injection, but the turbo 1.6 has GDI which is quite a turnoff for myself.

The interior design of this thing is so fucked up. The infotainment display is slightly off center from the hvac stack directly below it, which itself has a sharp cutoff along the right side where the passenger part of the dash starts. There are red trim accents all over the place and yet the leds and gage cluster are blue. Overall a step down from the Elantra.

KDMfan, the car is too small. The Elantra is the perfect size, if it was equipped with a more powerful engine, with the Honda Type R, Ford Focus ST or the Subaru WRX. Believe it or not, the Dodge Dart changed the game when comes to size. Even Kia increased the size of their Forte. I'm just say, size matters.

Please please and please do not call this veloster a velositer there is no “I” in veloster do you see an I in the word Veloster? I cannot enjoy your video if I cannot pronounce it correctly? The poor girl where I bought my 2012 VELOSTER ALWAYS SAID IT THAT WAY AND I Could not get her to say it correctly for nothing. The poor girl has since passed away,and feel bad for trying to teach her the correct way to prono7nce so if that’s the way you like to say then so be it? I can always mute the sound and just watch. Be safe out there. It’s a very scary bug we’re dealing with.
