My bottom raised too. I figured it out after filming the video. It mutes the radio when you back up too. Don’t really like that.

I agree. Im a driver for CR England and been trained by my mentor in a 2021 Freightliner Cascadia but was assigned a 2022 Prostar LT for my personal truck after upgrade and had if for the last 2 days hauling at night. I can say for sure the headlights in the International LT are so much better. They just seem stronger overall, viewing a wider area and further out. BTW Thanks for pointing out the location to drain the air tanks. I better do that. The Cascadia had auto drain valves.

Thanks for the video . I just started with Werner and promoted out yesterday . I had my heart set on a FL Cascadia but being the low man on the totem pole the signed me to a International . I was kinda bummed but when u said this truck had the best headlights you have ever had I was relieved . Believe it or not that was the single most important thing to me above everything else ! Your video set my mind in an easier place so thanks again for the video .

I started with Werner in March 2021. My first truck driving job. I trained in a Cascadia and was assigned a peterbilt. After being in the shop for weeks, I was assigned an International. Best headlights ever! The other two are very dim and dangerous IMO. The bunk area is smaller but is comfortable and has excellent storage capabilities.

I've been doing truck for 15 yrs and I've liked the prostar with the Cummings 410 up+ motor. I drive a kenworth 680 with a paccar autoshift. Its ok. But for my money I'd buy a prostar.they have a good layout no knee knockers. And easy to find controls.

As a mechanic, I'd think you'd hate them what with the non-Cummins engine kerfuffles and transmission faults/recalls. As a trucker, I've only driven the three makes you mentioned plus Macks, and my picks go Volvo > Mack > Freightliner >>> International. I'll be inspecting a new truck from my DM tomorrow and it's a 2020 International. I'm scared. I can reject it, but then I'd have to switch DMs to get a different pick, and my secondary DM's only decent truck is a 2017 Volvo and he's based out of a further terminal from home. Maybe it'll be ok, maybe it won't. As a driver, breakdown is time and money lost.

I've been in a 2019 LT for about a year. 120,000 miles. Maybe this one was a lemon but mine has a number of issues. Main one is an air leak even the dealer can't find. Excessive shifting between drive and reverse and transmission is out of air. Replaced headlamps twice. Steer tires twice. Now has all kinds of noises. And not near the storage space in mine. Fuel economy is no different than the 2014 cascadia i also got new. The LT does have swivel seats, built in fridge and comfort pro apu with 1800 watt inverter. And it does have good heat. The company did however, spec this one with 2.62 final drive so it takes a bit to gather up a 44,000 lb load and get moving. Cascadia had 3.55 made quite a difference

Drive one for big red. Better than the pete I had last year. The generic seats aren't the best. Not bad just not as good as in the freighliner.

yeah.... i *really* like the seats in literally every freightliner i ever drove. but the internationals have better sleepers IMO. freightliners also have better computer interaction for me with all the buttons on the steering wheel instead of that nubby joystick internationals use. just like.... the cab of a freightliner and the sleeper of an international and i'll think about not complaining. :3

Freightliner sucks insulation is awful you can feel the wind inside the wiring is faulty I had every light and gage go on what I called mad truck disease it cost $1200 to fix wiring and in 6 months it happened again international with cummins ID take it hands down

As a driver from the mid 80’s to mid 90’s is unreal the improvements made to trucks today the most shocking to me oddly enough is most trucks are know automatic instead of manual and disk brakes instead of air.

My steering squeaks and vibrates from the factory also the lag while backing awful. Unless you are otr a manual is the way to go. Mine has the Eaton endurant 12spd auto. Or if you could get a different auto that would be better to go.

2018-19 Volvos have the best headlights just a little FYI I've driven both lt and volvo people think I'm bright lighting when I'm on dim in my volvo

We have both as well. The Volvos lights next to these other trucks are like day and night. The LT is also a pain when backing up and has very bad turbo lagg

@@Juxce843 Agreed my Lt came with chinsee halogen lights which are garbage. Even my 16 freigtliner has leds which work way better. I have put in about 10,000 miles in the lt and dock around 12 times a day, I hate backing up not only is the steering heavy and numb the lag is so bad one wrong move and you ram the dock plate. The steering was noisy and squeaky from the factory and now it just started vibrating like a xbox controller... lol I hate this thing. The 1 good thing is it seems to ride better than the old international I drove. Anyway at the end of the day for my route I would take a freightliner 10spd anyday over this pile. At least for what im doing.

It’s been good, but it’s brand new and only has had my ass in it. I use a Cushion in my t680 , I haven’t needed it so far. Arm rest in moth sides. Good leg room. Steering wheel is adjustable. It’s comfortable.

Just got in to one of these after being a shaker driver for years. I don’t like it. Much smaller than the shaker, sits lower, less storage. About the only thing I prefer is that it’s a lot easier to maneuver when backing

Just got the 2020 with Cummins x15. Fridge, dual hood mirrors. The only thing is every time I start it it goes beep beep beep then pauses and then goes beep beep beep it does it for about a minute I can't figure out why

@@robjones7802 good, i reinforce the adhesive with a little gorilla glue and make sure its stuck good for a few hours before i hang tv, my tv is only 9 lbs and velcro is rated to hold 10 lbs, i make a habit of not leaving objects where it would fall

I got the 2017 LT series and hate it . 1. It's put together the cheapest way possible and it shows. 2. The transmission is a accident waiting to happen. 3. Mirrors vibrate big time night time driving is dangerous and another accident waiting to happen . 4. Hood or fender mirrors have fell out while driving 4 times already . 5 it has to be the roughest riding truck in the industry . 6. The seat is also the most uncomfortable seat in the industry . 7. Can not adjust seat to comfortable position.

I have the same exact truck as you do ... Overall I really like the truck but there are 2 things I’m not happy with at all ... the Peterbilt 579 has a sub woofer that rocks the truck out. 1 .. The sound system sucks 2 .. The outside storage doors need a key to open , wish there was a way to open them without a key like the Volvo’s have

Yeah that side door is a pain. I like t680 side door that just has a handle that can be locked or remain unlocked. The muting of the radio while in reverse is kinda gay too.

Industrial strength Velcro reinforced with super glue to the surface and also back of tv. Do NOT immediately mount tv after putting Velcro on wall service and back of tv. You need to wait a few hours and rub each a few times to make sure it’s stuck in super well otherwise it will fall. After waiting 6-8 hours and pressing down and rubbing across each end a few times, just connect the two pieces by pressing them together and the tv is hung and should stay permanently. You can take tv down but once you do the bond will not be as tight and one end of the Velcro will come undone. Usually the wall end. I got into the habit of not placing anything in the fall area of the the tv that could crack screen. May be better ways to secure a tv in a truck but I used this method several times and it gives the freedom to mount in best spot available with no drilling. Just have Velcro on back of tv and on plastic piece of truck. The super glue adds extra reinforcement and hold compared to the sticky on back of Velcro. Doesn’t take much just a dab on the corners and center.

I take the "beeps" for safety noises anytime over what Volvo does, I drive a Volvo, they send me more than I wish to California (Which BTW is the worst state to drive) and I tell you, the minute we cross that California line, my Volvo turns into a "Cockatoo mixed with a Christmas Tree" warning lights, sounds that only get loader and more annoying as you progress into California, I mean the whole Chalupa, I hate Volvo, not to mention that is one the worst for fuel milage!
