I own the kia picanto gt 2019 in Australia with a stage 1 chip obs and get 0 100 in 8.5 seconds. For a 1 litre the size of a loaf of bread its great.

@@DamnFast Yes the steering wheel is on the other side update I put a bluespark tuning box and throttle controller now getting 0 100 in 7.9 seconds 94kw 230nm torque.

Excellent video One more time! Congrats! Its incredible but This Picanto its a true very faster! my Kia Rio 1.0 T-Gdi with 101 CV, 172 nm of torque and 1200kg weight go 0 - 100km/h on 9 secs! Top speed its Aldo incredible, 204km/h on GPS!

02:14 & 04:53 ☹️ Sadly looks like another Kia Picanto with the infamous ‘clutch judder’? Really putting me off buying one, as love the car other than this issue, but apparently even worse in a cold/wet climate (like where I live!). Can you confirm if this happened regularly? Thanks.

We have the UK version of this car and we occasionally get clutch judder. Seems worse when pulling away uphill on a cold morning when car has stood for a day or two. A bit of clutch-slipping before setting off seems to stop it.

Heyyy man! Sorry for the late response but I do think this is not a thing of clutch judder, this is axle hop.... And is an effect due to little grip, wet conditions and soft dampers... I think with some quality shocks it wont be this severe. Still great fun with this Kia Picanto tho!! - Cheers, Team Damn Fast

It is engine judder, not a clutch issue. Better engine control bushes fix this this issue

I suppose 'fast' is a relative term. We have a UK spec Picanto GT Line S with the TGDI engine and it's a bit warm, nothing more (published figure 0-62mph in 9.8 sec). OK, it's quicker than a lot of the small hatchbacks on the road these days, but it's no tarmac scorcher.

@user-mp7yk6ov9z An unmodified Picanto turbo does NOT get to 60 mph in 8.5 secs. That would make it almost as fast as my old Ford Fiesta ST, and it is not that fast. Sure, a Picanto turbo WILL go better than its paper specs, but you have to fit chips and modifications to do this. The standard Picanto Turbo as supplied gets to 60 in just under 10 seconds, and yes it feels good to drive but it is nowhere near a tarmac scorcher.

How did you get 8.8 seconds? Its just as fast as the Up GTI but it says the Picanto is 10 on paper.

No, it's wheel-tramping. The Picanto clutches do judder from time to time, but this is not that.

145 pk in een auto amper groter dan een gemiddelde koelkast o.O Moet overigens ook zeggen dat de Picanto van ons mam echt een geniaal autotje is, rijdt als een kart en heeft dieselachtig veel koppel onderin. (Picanto TA met de 1-liter ongeblazen driecilinder)
