Thank you for reviewing the GT model, just wish more people bought this model back in 2021! Such a great little car! Sad they’ve discontinued the GT model for the 2024 line up.

Here in the UK we have the GT-Line S in manual and just before Kia changed the style of the badge they released a special edition run of fifty called "Bumblebee" which was uprated to 120bhp and as a result, the car has a 0-60mph time of 7.5 seconds; not quite hot hatch territory but it's good enough for me! It's just the best fun to drive

Always liked these, reminds me of a modern day Daihatsu Charade turbo for those old enough to remember them. I think it suffers from not having an automatic option which really limits the appeal to enthusiasts only these days.

Haha, you’re probably right. Last time I tested one I got 9.7 something on PD. Could be down to a bad fuel batch maybe.

That’s actually alot of torque for a little tiny 1.0L 3cyl engine. Also the GT-Line and other base models has a 1.25L 4cyl engine, it’s really weird seeing an engine of that size being seen in this day, it feels very oldschool where it’s written in cc rather than litres.

Couldnt agree more, little manual fun cars like that are brilliant. I'm glad at least the GT Line is staying.

I tried for weeks to get one of these new in nsw, couldn’t find one, and can no longer order them

Yeah you might have to search remote dealerships to see if there is any stock left as the MY24 has just been launched. Maybe try interstate as well?

@@drivingenthusiastaustralia I also tried interstate. A couple of dealerships told me I will not find one anywhere around, and would be lucky if I did. Sucks as there won’t ever be anything like this again. The next gen seems boring

The i20 N makes this look like a child's toy. They are two completely different cars. This is for slow city driving. The i20 N is a weapon.

Watch until the end. It was slower shifting at redline. Peak power is 4500rpm 👍
