Considering how low the Pathfinder already is, it boggles my mind how they would not add underbody plating.. If you offroad in this how it is, first root or any bump you hit will hit the oil pan.

I have a Nissan Pathfinder 4WD SL 2017 and I am very happy with it for the last two years. I especially like the comfort and stability that Pathfinder offers at high speeds. I think Nissan has designed an amazing vehicle.

I agree. There are no real suv's anymore. They all are crossovers. I test drove one it was nice but compared to my trailblazer it wasn't ruff enough. Id like to see a little more ground clearance and decently more touqe for towing.

This is a good car CVT gives good milage and it’s awesome driving and has smooth drive . The old one was more off road but lack the smooth drive . This is good on milage and nice seats . Overall it’s a package that everyone loves it family and power . 6000 lbs for boat or anything large you want to pull.

Yeah just bring back the Xterra to compete with the 4Runner. The old Xterra had poor sales because Nisan neglected to give it updates. Same reason the Frontier are selling low. But with the skyrocketing prices, they are good alternatives for actual off-roading.

Having owned 2012 pathfinder and now a 2019 rock creek pathfinder I can say obviously not the same vehicle as before. But I will say for practically having kids and needing a third row suv it has all the check marks. Fuel efficiency, practicality like being able to access third row with the car seats in place is huge. Being able to adjust second row seating for third row occupants, they thought of a lot. It looks nice feels good going down the road. Happy with the purchase. I would never tow 6k with any cvt. For towing I will stick to my titan xd. Good alternative for people who don’t want a minivan. And want something that is good for everyday commute and can get through light snow.

Ok they just slapped a "rock creek" badge on it said it was the off road edition with no real off road capability. You can not have an off road suv with a donut spare (4:23) along with the low ground clearance. Bring back body on frame xterra.

Garbage CVT transmission... speaking from my own experience, Our Pathfinder purchased new is only 2 years old with 26K miles and is at the dealership for CVT replacement. Never towed anything, and all highway miles..wonder how long before it goes up on the Murano loaner they provided.

MetalAndMotorsGuy506 Well Subarus tend to have better resale value and they own the market if you live anywhere from the sunbelt northward. The farther north you go the more you see on the road. In the south WRXs are very hot along with Foresters.. I live near the coast and someone either owns or knows someone who owns a WRX or STI.

I think the pathfinder cvt is chain driven not belt. Thats why it can tow so much , 6000 lbs . The murano has a belt driven cvt and that's why it can tow only 2000 lbs

Renault's are actually reliable, especially those from the 90s (Laguna 1, Clio Williams, Espace 3)! Don't underestimate Renault! It's Nissan's own fault, that they went worse, because their CVT's (made by Jatco a.k.a Nissan's daughter company) are shit, and Renault uses a dual-clutch transmission called "EDC"! Peace out to all the one, who blames Renault for Nissan's downfall lol!

What's worse is that it even sucks at being a family vehicle. I mean, the reliability is subpar, so are the interior materials and it's handling. So yeah, who in the right mind would buy this over it's competitors? I had 2015 SL Pathfinder and the interior was very ergonomically laid out. The 2nd row seat function was very nice and worked well with 2 child's car seats. But around 27k miles I noticed that the transmission slipped/delayed a few times when I had to accelerate at a high speed (example: 55mph to 65mph). We out grew the Pathfinder and the lease was up so we got a 2018 Armada.

Got one yesterday. The R51 was getting unreliable.. Sorry to see it go but if I had 4k$, I would go buy it back less than ideal roads. No, its not a SUV, its a crossover now. Its like one review guy said in the video was the feedback from drivers was more stuff and better mileage. Nissan listened and sold more. Its way more comfortable to drive and the wife is complaining about sitting lower than the old Pathy. I got more features than my old one and it will tow 1000 lbs more than my 12. I did give it a hug before we drove off.

I like the 05 to 2012 platform better I have on 05 and the v6 engine it's like a hangry beast when you hit the pedal and it's as competitive off road as any of today's vehicles, very dated styling and low tech but besides the radiator crackin internally mixing antifreeze whit trans fluid which i replaced whit a full aluminum unit its pretty much bullet proof, maybe nissan should take some notes from this for a new and exciting pathfinder because this new one is not exiting to me it all, can you imagine working on it whit the motor sitting as a front wheel drive or any maintenance for that matter?

Kudos to Nissan for the 18 inch wheels and resisting the urge to go with 20s or 22s. Even though this is still a light off roader, nobody wants to hit something with rubber band tires! As for the constant moaning about it not being a BOF truck, I remind you the 2nd gen R50 was unibody, and the 2013 sold over twice as many models as the 2012, which itself sold almost as many as the two previous years combined because it was the last BOF Pathfinder. The R51 was good for about 25000 a year in sales. The R52s worst year was 2019, when you had a 6 year old design against many newer designs, including the Telluride and Atlas on the jumbo end, and it still sold 65600. Nissan is in the business of selling cars, and in that context, the R52 makes sense.

Draw Back: 1. CVT 2. Same old outdated interior. Compare with Pilot, 4Runner, Highlander all of them have updated interior and technology 3. No led for rear 4. Full dashboard is hard plastic. No soft touch. 5. Out dated navigation design and touch pad 6. Steering control seems to be not friendly. Scattered design. 7. Not worth what you pay.

So this rock creek edition is the same thing except for the leather stitching and some rims from Subaru. Sounds like a mini van that a mom or older couple maybe in their 60s or something would buy. The green color is nice but that’s about it. I would rather buy a sienna ( van ) because it’s the rather the same ground clearance and at least it will hold its value way better. Although new vehicles really don’t hold value.

Give it new frontier engine .all grey seat option too bigger touch screen information systems. Wireless charger too

You can't tell how it drives, even though everything is the same as the reg Pathfinder. Hmmm.
