Once you remove the rear cap, is there an extra amount of fuel that leaks, or does the drain valve drain everything? Thanks. Great informative video.
@straightdooshbags17862 жыл бұрын
Yeah it makes a mess
@voids4818 Жыл бұрын
There is a lot of extra amounts of fuel that leaks once you have the cap halfway off. Drain valve will get quite a bit, but not all of it. So make sure you got a big ol bucket underneath to catch all of that extra fuel

Hello Paul, Have you, or have you heard of, a 2018 6.7 in a 2500 with a bad rear main seal? Just brought mine to the dealer for the steering recall, and a oil/fuel filter service. It has about 5,150 miles on it. I did add about a quart of oil at around 2,000 miles. Thought it was odd, but it was sitting at the dealer for about 6 months or so. Thanks for any insight that you may have, Pete

I’m with you on this question. Have a 2019 3500 with about 13,200 miles on it and it’s already telling me to change the fuel filter (not every time I turn it on, only once in awhile). Any thoughts? I’m wondering how often it is that we have to change these.

Turn key to run for about 5 seconds and then to off and repeat 5 or 6 times and the pumps will prime both filters.

I have a 19’ 3500 single rear wheel as well, my fuel filters probably could have lasted up to 11,000 or 12,000 miles. I was at 10,000 miles and my fuel filter life was about 15%. Just changed em ahead of time.

And be careful at the auto parts store when purchasing the rear fuel filter. Their database systems haven’t been updated and they will sell you the older model fuel filter because that’s what their system shows for your 2019 Dodge Ram 3500. The 2018 rear fuel filter/water separator is the one that looks like an oil filter (metal housing) however the 2019 is the one that looks like a cartridge.
