@@NellieBHinds I agree, he says that the passenger seat cannot be adjusted for height and it does, he also says that there is not a rear light and there is on the roof. he also says that it is dangerous to watch the display on the center of the dash for the radio, and there is a screen on the driver assistance display that is for the radio, so this guy seems to not know very much about any of these cars. Really disappointing.

I agree 99% of the comments here...this is a bias report. I went out July 4th 2019 to buy one of these. I totally checked out the Rogue SL and the Rav 4 Limited. They both have their differences. I disagree with the headroom and inside room report on this. The Rogue has noticeably more room than the Rav 4, which is very cramped. Look at the side profile in the video. The Rav 4 's top is lower than the Rogue. I agree, the Rav 4 did have more power, but the Rogue has a lot more nice features for less money ($5500 factory off). Also, the Rogue seemed more stable on the road. The Rav 4 seems to sway a lot, and you could feel every bump. The Rogue was more of a luxury smooth ride. Nice sun roof in the Rav 4. Too bad you didn't open up the moon roof, at all, on the Rogue. It's pretty awesome.Mine does have a telescoping steering wheel.

The rogue is def a better value but all those things you mentioned are not only bias opinions because you bought the rogue but also are factually wrong. Decibel ratings in the rav are lower, rav is far more aerodynamic than the rogue, rogue is missing alot of safety features, lastly the rav is about 4 inches longer than the rav. The interior space in the rav is designed better for front seat passenger. The rogue is designed for the rear passenger. His rogue had 19 inch wheels which are much less comfortable than 17 or 18 so it really depends on the trim. He was comparing these trims primarily which in that case the toyota wins but there are trims in which the rogue dominates the toyota. Its not that bias tbh.

The side collision is also 2 stage. It beeps if there is a car to your side AND your turn signal coincides with that cars location. So it trains proper turn signal use.

Having test driven both 2019 RAV4, Rogue and Forester, I would like to point out few things I noticed re. each car and my opinions: Luggage flexibility: 1) RAV4: rear seats does not fold flat at all - worst for bicycles 2) Rogue: rear seats fold flatter but not totally flat - best for bicycles 3) Forester: Similar to Rogue, but flatter than RAV4 - slightly shorter Rear seats: 1) RAV4: Has the most headroom, but that's because you sit very low and cannot see the front when sitting in the back - more sporty low down seating though might suit people looking for that 2) Rogue: Sit much higher than RAV and higher than front so can see out the front. 3) RAV4: Sit higher than RAV but lower than Rogue, massive windows, very airy Front seats: 1) RAV4: Nice solid seats but Softex... 2) Rogue: Plush and softest and real leather 3) Forester: Similar to Rogue Fit and Finish: 1) RAV4: It's good and funky, with good fit and finish. Most modern feel. 2) Rogue: On par with RAV4, but buttons not as chunky so may feel more delicate 3) Forester: The best BY FAR! Check out the map pockets in the back and you get the feel that it's much better than the RAV or the Rogue Practicality: 1) RAV4: Good deep boot, and rear plastic bumper is practical when chucking in bikes 2) Rogue: 7 seats, but painted rear bumper 3) Forester: Smallest boot but tallest, also painted rear bumper

I have a 2018 Rogue SL Platinum and I really enjoy it. This is not my first Nissan (had Rogue SL, and Altima SL) and I haven't had any issues with any of those I owned before. I do question one item in your video: You state that the 2019 SL doesn't have a telescopic steering. My 2018 2WD SL Platinum does. It's also in the Rogue user's manual. Did they remove that feature in the 2019? Oh ... I have no issue with the CVT, You do need to get used to it but when you do, it's "invisible". What I would have liked on the Rogue is the "active rear view mirror" (looks great). I like the blind spot warning's position as it's easier to notice when in bright sun light. I have driven both and I easily adapted to the Rogue's placement.

Jeff, good vid. However, that blind spot light on the A-pillar is actually useful because instead of literally turning your head to look at your side mirror, you can easily see the light in your peripheral view. It works perfectly. Plus during bad weather your BSM light won’t be obstructed.

Yeah, he's a bit biased with Toyota in his channel name. The 360 camera is something that should be standard on every car, it's frigging amazing and a huge plus against the Rav 4. Being able to see in tight spots blows away the active rearview cam. He spent like one second on the 360 cam which is one of the best features. The bsw pillar lights are awesome as someone else said you don't have to turn your head. I do think the interior on the rogue is dated as it's an old generation. I've driven the new ones 2021 a d it's way better. But I hate those screens that stick up, I don't care how safe they are.

Nissan truck and van buyer for years as we raised our kids. First Rogues were good transitional vehicle for us, then got my wife two Muranos as we spent more money. Nissan seems to be in a down cycle right now, seems to me. We just got my wife a 2019 Lexus NX300 and next week I'm picking up a 2019 RAV4 XLE Premium. One thing about Nissan that knocked them out completely was they don't have a masculine enough looking crossover for me and their designs are overall boring. And I gotta say, I'm going to be happy to kiss the rubber band transmissions goodbye for a while. Hated them.

Of course the Toyota wins. That's how you make your money! I drove a Rouge SL for 12 weeks while my Murano was in the body shop. It's a very good car, that could use an optional turbo engine. But all in all it's not nearly as bad as you make it out to be.

I test drove the Hybrid 2019 RAV4 here in Germany and it's fantastic. I wish they would make 3.5 liter V6 with 320 HP but I know I am dreaming. The new RAV4 will replace my 2008 one next year but I gonna miss the 270 HP on the autobahn.

Here in canada the rogue lease prices are incomparable. A 2019 rogue SV awd costs 380$ cad, while the RAV4 XLE AWD costs 475$. No comparison when price is my first concern

The Rogue looks dated compared to the RAV4. The real advantage in the Rav is the Hybrid version IMO. Toyota has remained committed to hybrid technology, where the other manufacturers jump in and out based on demand and marketing forces. When re-selling (which we always do eventually) I think Toyota will hold value better.

So... I currently have a Rav Hybrid 2016. I had a 2000 Rav and drove that for 11 years. never had any problems with it. I decided an a Honda CRV for my next car. Got a CRV 2011. But 4 years later I started having all kinds of issues with it . I do take very good care of my cars and therefor i keep them for a long time as I did my first Rav. I am definitely getting the new 2019 Hybrid as soon as it is available where I live. I will stick with toyota.

Imagine trying to drive at night in the Nissan with that annoying ass orange light popping on every time someone passes you, lighting up the cabin. That would ANNOY the crap out of me and would be a deal breaker. So would having an Apple only system info system. louis binwag The only difference is one plant makes the panoramic sunroof and the other one doesn’t. There shouldn’t be any difference in quality and there are no studies or anecdotes to show one is better than the other. I think you made a great choice when you bought yours.

I really like both the Rogue and the RAV4. The Rogue definitely has more space and nice amenities for the price. But I ended up with the RAV4 for one main reason. It uses an 8-speed automatic, while the Rogue has a CVT.

With a handle of Toyotajeff it 's hard to feel that you would not be a tad biased to Toyota. I have driven both vehicles extensively. We own a Rav and a Corolla, but I actually prefer the Rogue's overall ride and driveability over the Rav. I just think it is the preference of each driver. They are so similar in many ways.

I had a 1993 Nissan Sentra SE-R and it was the best car I ever owned. I drove it 12 years and beat the tar out of with no issues. Now, I would not buy a Nissan. They ruined it with the CVT transmissions. The only people driving them are women who don't know any better. My biggest gripe about the RAV are the roof rails. They don't look beefy enough for transporting a kayak

We are having a transmission issue with our 2016 Rogue with only 60500 miles. Check engine light came on and dealer says transmission needs rebuilt. Fighting with Nissan because just over 60,000 warranty. Go with Toyota. We never had any issues with many Toyota vehicles owned.

Ike Rogue, but like the RAV 4 because it doesn't have a CVT TRANSMISSION,you can't pull a trailer with a CVT TRANSMISSION, THEY SHOULD OUT LAW THE CVT. and have aclass action lawsuits for them breaking down. as low as 60,000 miles

The real reason the rouge sell more cause of its and it backseat the seat can slide and recline but the rav looks better and the materials look great if I wanted a low price I go for the rouge if I want comfort it would be rav

First of all, This Was An Awesome Review. But I wish you could have choosen another vehicle besides the Nissan Rogue. Yes, I like the Nissan Rogue and it has it's Pro's and Con's. Here lately I have been doing my research on the outgoing Toyota Rav4 and the All New Toyota Rav4. My choice is: Toyota Rav4.👍👍👍

I'm a retired Nissan master tech, worked at the same dealership for 36 years. Nissan's biggest mistake was going to CVT transmissions. Lots of failures, I would personally never buy a car with a CVT transmission.

Just to let you know, the Nissan DOES have a telescoping steering wheel. Also, the Rav4 DOES have android auto. You need to look/read the specs on what you are selling to give customers an informed decision before giving a review with wrong information.

Oroginal Toyota own Entune 3.0 is equivalent to android auto, its even better bcoz it can also work for iPhones and android phones. With the reliable Apple CarPlay and the Entune 3.0 no matter what phones you got, it can integrate to vehicle via those apps.
