I've got a 21 Road King special I've had a set of shark Rhodes on it like you have I have 3,000 Mi on them now they're getting good and burned out they sound awesome sound awesome best money spent on mufflers good luck to you good looking scooter

Great video. I had considered the wind splitter windshield for my road king special, but decided to go with the Memphis shades batwing . Still thinking about getting the windshield so I can switch between the two.

I like the windsplitter a lot. I saw your video on the Memphis shades fairing. In my case if I want to go fairing and have more wind protection I take the Street Glide Special that day. Rick, does that wind splitter do anything to help buffeting? I’ve been considering it, but will have to customize a little with my Carlini bars and their placement (not moving). Let me know your thoughts when you can.

I'm 5'10 and I get zero buffeting. I like it alot but obviously I have stock bars so it was easy install.

Hey, I run this same set up on my 19 rks all except I’m running 18” apes. I run the vent half open for the best result. My handle bar grips do sit about 2” above the top of the windshield, I could see that having an affect on my windsplitters performance. I highly recommend this shield since it’s blacked out & performs well, the only thing I recommend is having the damn chrome mounting brackets powder coated black.

Nothing wrong with stock bro. I got mine to ride. Ha Rear suspension: If I had a wish list I'd have AIR RIDE on my list. It's cool when guys shut off their bike and it lowers way down. Your seat definitely looks way more comfy than mine. Your visibility is top notch from your custom dynamics install. I know it's not really supposed to be the highlight of your video but I like your garage too.

Thanks for watching and great question. Those are called ProCrash Guard protectors. You can find them on Ebay and they are around $30 for the set. I use them on the bike when I'm doing slow speed skills just in case I drop the bike. It's peace of mind with very low cost. They are actually just hard somewhat flexible plastic that slip on. Exhaust sound is deep and sounds good. I didn't record the exhaust as it's always difficult to capture good sound via a video. Have you done any riding with the backrest up some? or all of the way up? If so, how's the comfort level? I just ordered the seat and am hoping I like the feel of the backrest. The versatility/looks of this particular set up is what drew me to it so fingers crossed, otherwise I'll just sell it!

I have not ridden with it up higher than the lowest setting. When it is moved up, it will move your back forward a few inches or make you sit straighter. Overall I am very happy with the seat and I will try it soon with the back rest up higher. I do ride with the back rest on it all the time. Thanks for checking out the video. I have a follow up on the seat coming out soon. How far out before you get the seat? Over the summer it took about 5 or 6 weeks before I got it. Hey bud, love the road king! I have the same exact bike and I love it. I know you’re not interested in messing with the motor due to voiding the warranty, but if you change your mind or when the warranty expires you should really look into the S&S 475cam. I have one on my road king and if you pair that with a tune and full exhaust, it REALLY wakes the bike up. I have a video on my channel doing a quick ride along and walk around of my bike with the mods if you’d like to check it out! Obviously the video doesn’t really do it justice for the sound but maybe you could notice it just a little bit. Sweet ride though I look forward to more videos from you

Did you change out the bars? I have stock bars on mine and the position they put your hands in is odd. It takes a bit for me to adjust when I go from my Street Glide Special to the Road King Special

@@HDVIBE It has the 14 inch KST straight jacket bars. They also work fine with the Harley Davidson wind splitter. I’m about 6’2 and they’re PERFECT for me. Not an issue whatsoever. Works better for not only comfort but handling as well

Hi, I’m 5.11” & I got 2 windshields 1 is 16” & the other is 18” while they stop the wind in my chest, it increased the wind buffeting to a point where I can ride it any more, how’s ur windshield splitter, is it true that if u ride with the middle vent open u get no wind buffeting?

It works great for me. I ride with it at highway speeds and no issues up to 80 + mph. I usually leave the slot about half open. I'm 5'10 for reference.
