@rorymaclean68484 жыл бұрын
at a guess: it is the spices. Plenty of continental or otherwise standard "good ol american food" can be prepared in a fairly bland manner. Many households shy away from stronger flavors, so when the MRE has less spice it isn't really a complaint... but as time goes on most americans are becoming more accustomed to food with more spice and start missing it. Various foods that are more 'ethnic' get somewhat special treatment because even if they aren't 100% accurate, they still need a certain level of spices to be recognizable as a given dish.

I wish Steve would release the videos of his early cage fighting career. Legend has it, he went undefeated in 276 bare knuckle fights.

because of you i bought a few military and civi MREs and i use you as a guide on how to prepare and what to eat when. Thank you so much for doing all these amazing vidoes, i can watch them forever without failure they're so informative and you've got such a soothing voice. I take them with me when we host 48 hour gelsoft battles, so its a full on army sim with gelsoft guns and when we camp overnight i take some mres with me to eat

You know Steve starts to influence you when, after opening almost any food packaging, you sniff it and make an observant comment. Just yesterday I opened up a package of Emergen-C and said “smells like a usual orange beverage base with Vitamin C. Nice.”

Steve your videos are so calming and stabilizing. I know people have said it, but it’s especially important now. When I have spent too much time dealing with what has become the main stream and sanity and my own morale takes a precipitous drop, all I have to do is watch a few videos, even ones I’ve seen over and over again to help it recover.
