2019 Yamaha Raptor 700 Top Speed!

Finally put together a GoPro Hero 7 GPS top speed video together! The Raptor only has the 2 performance mods. The HMF full exhaust and a Power Commander 5. The machine topped out at a higher speed than I expected. Unfortunately I don’t have video from when the machine was stock since I took delivery of it with those parts.

90+ mph is possible with street tires, big 3 mod, and 15t front sprocket. Go full build mode and you’ll have 100+ no problem. 80 hp and Racers Edge dyno pulled me north of 100 mph. 79 is slow unless you’re running stock gearing.

If you put enough money and mods into anything it will go plenty fast😅I could see doing a 15 tooth with my big 3 set up but after that it's going to be all handling modifications. I have a 4 year extended warranty so I cant do anything beyond the big 3 without jeopardizing my warranty.

I’ve been a motorcycle mechanic a long time and a fan of the raptors for almost as long. It doesn’t take a lot of money to wake the raptor up. Good head work can give huge gains well under a $1k budget. But if you’ve got a warranty then I can see where you’re coming from. If you’ve never ridden a built Raptor then you probably don’t want to, you’ll end up owning one 😂

Add a 15 tooth front sprocket and you will see 82+

@@marshy_4599 that's strange. Are you sure the speedo you're using is accurate? Check if the screw on the thumb throttle isn't screw in or something. Back when I had my 07 Raptor 700, I did 78mph stock.

zuki rider814 it is stock. I’m planning on putting a 15 tooth on the front soon. It would probably hit 80 if I went slightly downhill and held it for longer. I’m normally in the 50 mph range so top speed isn’t too crucial for me. A lot of people have been asking for a top speed video! I’ll do an update video when I eventually go up a front tooth

Put a 15th tooth sprocket up front will give more top speed you want regret it.

Frank Frank thanks for sharing your experience! I may try the upgrade next season. It would be nice to have the lower gears stretched out. I normally wheelie in 4th, I have to dump the clutch and pull at the right time to get the wheelie up in 5th

With motorcycles, 1 tooth front is equivalent to 3 teeth rear. That's with sprockets around 42-45 teeth rear. You could drop 2 teeth rear and be 1/3 less dramatic change than 1 tooth front.

That’s fast! My 07 TRX450r only did 73mph stock but was screaming, geared it up one tooth in front gained 5 mph, put in a HRC KIT gained a lot with that think I topped 81mph at 10,000rpm. Lol now I’m looking at purchasing a 2022 raptor 700r any tips?

Felix Thierbach the only modifications for performance are the HMF full exhaust system and the power commander 5. Everything else is stock

The sound when I did the speed run was because my camera was mounted to my front bumper. It makes that weird vibration engine noise

Lunik Gjata I like the HMF pipes for the sound. I had an HMF slip on for a few years on my KTM and it held up pretty well. I would assume it’s dependent on your riding environment and how hard you are on your machine

Lunik Gjata I’m not going to do much on a performance level because it has a 4 year extended warranty. I would like to get the suspension set up more for my riding style. I’m really happy with the quad!

The YFZ is a lot lighter of a machine, I think weight has lots to do with it. If you want to add more power I know Cuervo Racing has lots of great raptor builds!

Pete Hager I heard that installing a PC5 and changing air filter and exhaust can make the difference but I want to be sure before spending that amount of dollars, I would love to send it to Cuervo racing but I am a fan from Lima Peru.

Javier Salas I never rode the raptor stock. Mine has the stock intake but the full HMF exhaust and the Power Commander 5. I think it’s plenty fast and the only other mod I would do would be the intake

@@javiersalas1606 Doing what they call the "Big 3" on your raptor (Air Filter, Exhaust, Power Commander V) will make a huge difference! I've rode many raptors, stock and with big 3. The big 3 bikes are always more enjoyable to ride. A lot snappier!
