That's so true, bud. After a high-speed ditch ride, my a arms will shine like they were chromed. If i forgot to paint them right away, they would start to rust. Nothing that another quick ride couldn't fix. I never did find any paint that could handle that much friction.

Only portions of Minnesota allow ditch riding legally. If your getting yelled at maybe check to make sure your riding in a legal area 👍

Man it's awesome that you can just ride just bout anyware.... here in Maine it has to be a ATV access road (usually small back roads, lower than 40mph speed limit for cars) or marked trails .... access routes are pretty much for u to unload ur wheeler from ur truck and go to the trails

The amount of trust you have in your quad to pull a wheelie at 75 is pretty insane my dad has a 05 raptor bored to a 680 and runs on race gas and it’s fast enough the first one got stolen and now the one he has now is built even faster with like 10 to 1 compression and race fuel only it does wheelie with 3 full grown people on it and it was rolled 8 times once and my dad walked away it also held first place in few races tell my fam stopped racing

Should try a different oil. I just put motul 300v in mine and the clutch and gear engagment seems way better over yamahlube. 300v has a much shorter oil change intervol though.

I’ve been running a semi synthetic made by Torco in both the Yamahas since the Raptor was rebuilt! The clutch is grabby on my Raptor because it has 2 extra fibers in it over the stock set up 👍

I'm around 60 horsepower, I would think this clutch set up would put the power down well all the way up to 70-80 horsepower. It would be epic if Xtravel put something together for the Raptor but they've really had to prioritize the SxS Industry for funding. I'm not sure if they'll ever make one for the Raptor.. I definitely recommend the long travel set up I went with, it really handles on another level 👍

The renegade had a trinity racing tuner and dominator slip on mufflers made by an old company called get torqued. As far as we know they’re not in business anymore

Having owned two new raptors I would pick it over the liter. Not a fan of can am and Polaris they always broke on me! The raptor never broke not once and we would do bug Smokey burnouts on the blacktop with Nobby tires and he t still held up.

Wish I had areas like that to ride here on the eastern coast.......its so rocky and rough here. I go to dirt drags just so I can open it up......my little 650 prairie (heavily modified of course) eats 800 can ams and hangs with 1000's and modded 450's which isn't bad for a 20 year old quad lol

ive been doing some ditch riding in my neighborhood, since my truck has been broke. and theres a huge 15 foot deep ditch in the back of my hood, has a fence around it owned by the state. next to a highway. well ive been riding in it, not tearing anything up or even staying long. and one of the neighbors chained it up and padlocked it. not like i went every day or anything like that. Karrens cant let anyone have any fun

Since you have a lot of experience it sounds like you would grow into a 400 class machine nicely like the 400ex or Z400! If you’re already on a 400 then you could look into getting a 450. The main thing is that you fit on it comfortably 👍

We're in South Central Minnesota. Ditch riding is legal in most of the state except around the Minneapolis Metro area. This is all the public riding we have in our area except a couple OHV parks several hours away. I will say some of the pavement wheelies may have been questionable 🤭🤫

As of now the Renegade is stock aside from an aftermarket fuel controller and the slip on exhausts he has! They have a local friend that does great fabrication work on their custom projects! Hopefully we can do a feature on the R1 YFZ when it’s finished! 😁🤘

It's really up to the discretion of an officer. If your blasting gravel from the shoulder onto the road or interfering with traffic then you'll get called in and they'll drop the hammer. Most of this route is on pretty quiet county highway and we're not really disturbing anyone.
