Great fishing setup but would you ever consider a set of tubbys? I read that the guys from shoreline have made a new plastic version for this year.
@GCJetskiFishing4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment! I have thought about tubbys but I really don't think I need them... sure they have some good points about them like extra stability but they are a large cost, are not quickly removable like a chilli bin is, they stop you from sitting sideways and using the gunnel as a foot rest and generally just block the side of the ski
@wandadougherty66674 жыл бұрын
@@GCJetskiFishing You make some valid points and I definitely see why you don’t use them. However, for me, I like I idea of being about to use the boarding ladder and deck for ingress as climbing over the gunnel can be challenging at times. Of course the cost is the biggest issue and will probably deter me from purchasing them. What about your dual battery setup, do you use a switch with an acr to keep the house battery and starter battery separate or are they just wired together?
@GCJetskiFishing4 жыл бұрын
The batteries are wired together in paralell so they are both being used at the same time and both charge at the same time, a switch introduces a point of failure. The key is to just have plenty of battery capacity for what you need and always keep them topped up on a trickle charger

Thanks for watching Steve. Interesting how you haven't had problems with the anchor, do you secure it down while riding? On my old seadoo I smashed the bottom out of my front storage compartment because something heavy was bouncing around in there... learnt my lesson :)

@GCJetskiFishing5 жыл бұрын
Paul, I have no extra protection around the transducer, care only needs to be taken when beach launching (which 99% of the time I'm not doing) But I am often running the ski up a river where it often gets shallower than 1m of water without any problems yet. As a plus it means my ski never gets beached and the hull stays in top condition so good for resale value too

How are you able to attach the transducer to the bottom skip plate? That looks great compared to the mount I was going to use from Loren that mounts to the right side of the step ladder. Do you have use a transducer cover and use adhesive to attach it to the bottom plate?

@cmtetaboaco5 жыл бұрын
GC Jetski Fishing I have a FX HO, the top speed is 10mph less than the supercharged, BUT for that the supercharged uses a crazy amount of fuel, and its only possible in flat water, in open sea they all travel the same because you just can’t hit WOT, there is a limit because of the waves, and 180hp is way more than enough!!!!! If you are not a “Jetski drag racer” if there is such a thing, there is NO REASON what so ever to buy a supercharged! My opinion, I have PWCs for 20years or so!
