THANK YOU for this step-by-step instruction on how to fix my mirror. I was in a parking garage. I didn't realize a concrete barrier was in my blind spot. Turned my wheel to the right and my driver side mirror took a beating and was completely flipped around facing the road ahead. I forced it back into position duct taped the hell out of it and went home. I ordered the part online, followed your instructions even replaced the mirror cover and it's 100% installed. Works perfectly and I saved $800. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!

Just wanted to say thanks. i just wrapped up this job on my 2023 X-pro model, saved about $1200... that damn plastic piece that holds the wire cable, I think no matter what those little plastic brackets break when you take that cover off, I was able to install it back on like you and when you put the door cover back on holds it tight against the frame pretty well

Thought I would add to this. Dealership quote to replace 1k. I bought a non-OEM mirror on ebay. Kinda on accident as I was then concerned about quality and fitment of the old painted mirror piece fitting. It all fit perfectly!!! The mirror is, get this, made in Taiwan!! So, I did make a mistake, i bought the mirror for the lower level car which does not have electric folding mirrors. So, my wife insisted that was not acceptable, so I ordered a second mirror that was power folding. It also worked perfectly and is now 100 percent right. Total spend (1st mirror 118.58 shipped), (2nd mirror that was power folding $132.58 shipped) Total spend $251.16. Still saved $750 dollars compared to the dealership!

How about a 2022 Kia forte I just need to replace the light on mirror

@6:47 I show how to remove the glass from mirror. The removal process should be the same on the Forte 👍🏽 you would just have to also remove the harness/wires from the glass (which I didn't do since I had to replace the entire mirror assembly).
