One would think the lighter car with the same power would win, but rumor has it it also has smaller intercoolers so it might be heatsoaking in the summertime weather. Then again, that's no excuse to have a RS, or "high performance" variant do that kind of thing.
@TheSpeedyGhost4 жыл бұрын
Well, they probably do not have the same amount of power - i.e. the RS3 has more HP for whatever reason (e.g. production variation or maybe this particular TTRS has some issues, who knows...). And normally (/theoretically) the TTRS would win the race, since it is lighter and has lower aerodynamic drag (Cd x A) - and generally speaking the TTRS's also do so (googl if you don't believe). BTW do not believe in rumors - the RS3 and TTRS have the same intercooler (not intercoolerS, only one), cf. Audi PN 8V0145803B

Ttrs is both quicker and faster than the rs3 stock vs stock ... lighter, more aero etc.
@DirtDude1174 жыл бұрын
Funny thing about these cars is they have different tuning for both the TCM and ECM while having roughly the same drivetrain. Even using the same fuel station and testing auto vs auto you'll see similar results. But when you tune both of them with the same Off-The-Shelf tune you see the TT-RS run better numbers. That said, I would pick the RS3 over this gen TT-RS. If I'm getting a TT-RS it would be the previous "manual only" generation with the stronger bottom end

RS3 has a smaller overall diameter wheel/tire combination so the final drive will be effectively higher if the gearing is the same between the two cars. This will help the RS3 to accelerate quicker than it would with the same overall diameter wheel/tire combination as the TTRS.
