Fantastic round up! This year you helped this late bloomer learn about what I want in makeup. I’ve never had success with makeup and had just given up and accepted my face as is, which is great. However I stumbled upon your channel from elate cosmetics videos and I’ve been bingeing all year! I took several of your suggestions for a light coverage/skin tints, bite beauty, colour pop & glossier. I wish I could get the ilia in Canada but seems hard to do. I’m hopping on the blush train with cloud paint, but I am so curious about the Daniel sandler blush. I fully panned the Fenty cream butta biscuit and the CT fair this year. I wear them alone, I wear them together, I wear charlotte with Westman Atelier. I love it. I'm going to order a replacement pan for my charlotte compact once I finish another bronzer. So good for fair skin.

I just want to say you look stunning in your off-hours, editing version that comes at about 15:20. You know what you nailed it with the WA as a concealer. I think it just takes too long to apply carefully with that pat pat motion on the entire face as a foundation but it is quick and functions well as a concealer here and there. I just think it is too dry for all over the face as well 🤷‍♀️

That seems to be the template. The creator builds a brand, and just when it becomes mainstream they sell it. I suppose that's how the creator gets paid and big investments can go into a worldwide launch. Charlotte Tilbury, IT Cosmetics, and now Roen. I wonder if that's Victoria Beckham's plan, too. It's rare for the original energy to survive.

What am I doing wrong?! I try the Becca Undereye and it just pills...I’ve tried it with/without moisturizer, primer under it and no luck. It just drags and gets patchy...maybe a bad jar? 😩

I hated this product as first and then realized I needed to use a lot less! I barely dab my finger into it and pat it on and build from there and it’s worked so much better for me

My trick is that I use a tiny amount and only in the very darkest bluest part of my undereyes. Less is more.

AHA! I got a sample of the Becca Zero Foundation from Ulta and thought, you know, I bet this on top of my favorite tinted sunscreen would do some things, like mattify my skin and lock in my sunscreen. I'm going to have a play with it. But I thought it might have some utility and the only primer I have that will blur and mattify and set down is Sisley. So if it works, that would be a win.

I have always had the same issues with blush, bronzer & highlighter (being very fair) Bronzers are usually too orange or too golden, highlighters are too icy or just too dark & blushes are either too cool or too brown. Peach/corals look best on my skintone & bronzers that are a light golden beige or have a hint of terracotta in them generally look best. I also do not like shimmery finishes--accentuates texture. The automatic assumption is that if you are Fair/Pale, cool toned pale pink blushes is what you will want in a face palette along with an icy highlighter & too warm bronzer. Grrrr. Contour shades are the hardest to find for people with Fair complexions, most bronzers are too warm.
