Yeah the S4 did well considering it's well down on power vs the C43 and M340i. This is quite promising for the upcoming 355hp Acura TLX Type S. Also from looking at the 1/4-mile time, trap speed, and curb weight, the Bimmer likely makes 420+ hp. BMW under-rates their specs, but the B58 engine especially.

@@stoopidvideo It's one of those feelings ,) For me, in this ultra-fast changing day and age the 2015 C43 really was timeless. That Mercedes could only add rounded exhaust pipes (looks amazing though) and of course touch up the interior a little with better screens and call that a facelift for 2018 stands testament to the original W205 chassis. I really wish I could afford one but it looks like it's going to have to be the Jaguar XE S in the coming years.

I too own an S4 B9 from 2017. What attracted me to it the most was the interior styling and smooth gear shifts from the auto gearbox, especially in sport mode with the power on. I didnt want it to be the fastest thing on the road I just wanted it to look good, drive great and have a good amount of power. I still love driving it.

@@Furrykevlar Hi, I had a 2013 b 8.5 and now have a 2018 b9. I can tell you that even though the b 8.5 had dsg and launch control, the b9 is faster off the line. You will not notice a disadvantage of the automatic transmission. They did a great job hiding any faults.

ZF8 is a great transmission. Drive a B9, you won’t miss the DSG. Brake TQ launch with traction and the transmission in sport! The trans drops the “DSG fart” and goes into raw performance mode.

@@layne4376 Really? I have a 2013 Audi S4 which I have taken to a track day at Highlands Motorsport Park and pushed to the limits. There wasn’t any understeer to speak of until you pushed past 10/10ths which is pretty damn quick. I have the Audi sport differential which can split torque across the rear axle (torque vectoring) which all but eliminates understeer and can even push you into oversteer if you’re aggressive with your inputs. Yes it’s not as tail happy as a BMW but it looks a heck of a lot better has a way nicer interior and has a better AWD system. As a daily driver, Audis are great cars. The fact that James bought one over all of the other choices should be a clue to you.

I have DTUK Tuning box on my 2017 S4. The car now produces 408bhp and 627nm. 0-60 in around 3.8 secs. The car is a complety different beast now. Highly recommended.

Great video guys!! My daily driver is a 2014 B8.5 Audi S4 and I absolutely love it! I've done some mods making it quicker and sound better than stock, but I feel like for the quattro awd and the way Audi does interiors it's hard to beat honestly. My weekend car is a 2013 Porsche 911 turbo s so I do enjoy German cars 🇩🇪 😎

Got a tuned ‘13 myself and it’s a great car but looking to move into the M340i. I thought I would miss the supercharger and dual clutch… except the twin scroll B58 and ZF are a gem of a combo. Didn’t feel slower than the tuned s4 (claimed 440hp tune on my gas) and actually felt about identically fast. The major difference was the Audi feels frantic hitting speed and the M340i feels like it wasn’t strained at all to pull the same speeds. Both clock 12.1@114 in the quarter, both hit 3.8 in 0-60 so identical. Seems like a great upgrade from the Audi since they’re so equal tuned vs stock. The b58 certainly left a few ponies on the table to find later too! Audi interior is a bit nicer imo but the rest goes to the the BMW. Better looks, suspension, brakes, more drama from the exhaust, slightly more efficient, and the effortless speed to be had. Both great cars. I’ll miss the charger whine for sure. Intake on it just for sound!

Compared to Mercedes yeah I agree but competed to BMW not rly cause Audi is around 100kg lighter so hp to the weight is almost equally but BMW is much quicker.

@@Jacobk66 back when I used to own a Stinger I used to race my friends C43 a lot, when both stock they’re literally dead even on both a roll and a dig. really came down to reaction time, i’d be insane to see a G70/C43/S4 all neck to neck

APR tuned Audi. Tuned B58 in the BMW. And tuned G70. That would be quite interesting. No hardware changes, but optimized ECU tuning.

@@michaelching6578 again your comment doesn't make sense. The c43 isn't a full amg. Just like the m340 isn't a full m car. Both are the performance variants just short of the m3 / c63(s) respectively. They're in the same class, and neither of these cars are regular. Check their performance and you'll understand what I mean.

The title of the video says 2020 BMW M340i vs Audi S4 vs Mercedes AMG 63 // DRAG & ROLL RACE. Please don’t get me wrong,I like BMWs over any brand, and would have bought a M340i if they came in 6MT. Since regular G series are all automatics now, I ended up buying something with a S58 instead.
