Excellent review. The smile whilst you’re reviewing the car, says it all. Got the 840i. Don’t need the performance or power of the M850i. Well that’s what I told myself……… I’m now looking for an M8 GC Competition…… which I obviously don’t need. I’m bias I’ve always loved BMW’s for some reason.

Are car turn signals required by law to be annoyingly loud regardless of price point? A more elegant option would be to have a silent vibration in the steering wheel. Gorgeous car.

That's thing I think about. The M5 is cheaper, faster and more practical than the MM850i Gran Coupe. It's also 20cm shorter.

They are about the same price ! Both around 100 to 115 thousand dollars . The m5 is faster but has a very synthetic sound , this one sounds less synthetic , you should compare the m5 to the m8 not m850 .

Back in 1990 every single man, including myself, was dreaming about 850. Today's 850 nowhere close to it's predecessor. If I owe BMW factory I would fire entire design department.

I’m sorry, but maybe the design has to grow on me. Exterior wise I like my 650 better. The rear of the of the car isn’t that impressive. The Mercedes GT coupe looks better and I never thought I’d say a Mercedes looks better than a BMW.
