Aaron Klemm The MSRP on my truck was $58,840. I paid $47,652 (before tax and tags). My local dealership was offering GM employee pricing and $5,500 in GM rebates. I have 2,200 miles on it now and I absolutely love the truck.

Have this same truck with diesel, Z71, All Star Edition... cant tell you how much I love it (coming from a 2018 F150 Powerstroke.) I loved my F150, this is just better in every way with this new inline... more power, peppier to drive, tows better and better fuel economy. Put 3.5" Rough Country lift and tires on it and cant stop looking at it. Drives amazing. I agree that its not on par with Ram's interior but its still really nice for a truck and the as soon as you spend time with this diesle powertrain that interior business all melts away! Best truck I have owned to date!

@@zachcutler7342 Thanks for the response! I've got a Rebel at the moment but messed my back up and need something with more comfortable seats. My wife's got a Tahoe, so I've considered that or the Yukon just due to comfort... Diesel would be the cherry on top! Just haven't decided if I'm ready to give up a utility bed yet.

Remember that you need to get Z71 to get a low range transfer case. I also think this is the most refined diesel engine, its remarkably smooth and fun to drive.

Love this over the Ram 1/2 ton, mostly due to always available torque. I hate the Ram E-torque, feels super sluggish.

I finally got to sit in the back seat of a new Silverado and can’t figure out why no one mentions how much more room there is in them. I’m on my fourth Silverado and had considered an F150 for the rear seat room. No need for it now.

I had a 2016 f150 for almost five years and the rear seat room is slightly larger in the Ford...but I sit with my seat all the way back in my RST and my 6 month old baby can be in his car seat with no legroom issues for me.

I think the all the window down feature is for just in case someone wants to be nasty and let out a fart and so that way everyone doesn't suffer. That's what I herd about it. Maybe a good button for hauling around co workers and buddies.

That truck shouldn't need a drive mode it's a truck the only buttons should be on there is 4wd buttons. Idk that's kind of ironic having a drive mode on trucks.

Well from a 2020 GMC Denali 1500 Duramax diesel owner the truck is no what I expected already had a engine light on and a few miss functions feel like the truck has defects

The Ram has it over the Chevy in looks & interior. I've driven the Chevy 3.0L diesel in a high country trim and am very impressed with it. If that engine was in a Ram you would have a real winner.

@@markj2838 IMO the Ram is the better looking truck exterior wise & has the better drive train. GM is having problems with the 10 speed transmission. The Ram has the time proven ZF 8 speed that been out there doing it for years in many brands & model of cars. As far as interiors go. Ram has the best interiors in 2020 by a long shot & GM keeps promising an upgrade sometime in the future. The question is: Will it live up to expectations when they finally get around to doing the upgrade? There's a reason why Ram has won motor weeks truck of the year two years in a row & is outselling the Silverado.

@@paulehlers2225 the ram has a smooth car like stance now... trust me i like it. But not so much truck looking anymore. Definitely a beautiful interior when optioned out for top spec long horn or limited. Otherwise the interiors are comparable... look at the rams quality issues.. much more then the GM twins. And the interior update is underway.. GM dropped the ball here...

Paul Ehlers ..Looks are a subjective matter but drive train and engineering is tops in the GM twins. GM is NOT having transmission problems with its 10 speed transmissions which came first in the '17 Camaro ZL1 and are now available in the trucks as a midlevel and above option. GM has Fiat beat when it comes to overall quality and that's a fact and not opinion.

How does it Act if you dump on it really hard like if you're going to pull out and pass somebody? If the engine has to rev up high does it go flat?

the model tested here is an inline 6 cylinder, 3.0 liter duramax. not a 4 cylinder FYI.

Maintenance cost on Diesel engines is more costly than gas, if you’re not hauling trailers I’d stick with gas. I’d pick an Old diesel trucks over new diesel trucks though

Will Thorson this thing destroys the Fiat and Ford on the latest testing, diesel wise. The ride is not as smooth but close to Fiat’s. I am still skeptical but if you watch and read all the reviews this thing is super impressive.
