I thought Newman was dead. I was so scared for that dude as he was sliding down the track upside down, on fire, after he took one of the worst hits in a car I've ever seen.

Notice how the caution came out but they counted it at the line? That's the way it should be, but the Inconsistencies in Nascar man.

There was a slow mo video I saw from a fan from pit road, the caution lights came on about a car length before Hamlin got to the stripe but he was still ahead of Blaney by the same margin and it did not change the outcome of the race. Race Control probably should've waited another split second until the winner crossed the line before hitting the button, but I'm sure they were focused on the 6 car at that moment.

@@STP43FAN1 Still not as bad as Chevy and Ford's passenger cars though lol. American cars in general have just become a joke. The wannabe muscle cars don't count because obviously they are built to race. Although I will say I constantly get new Camaros in my shop with all sorts of issues I much more rarely see on others. We stopped accepting Fords at all because their parts have an extra fee added on now unless you are an official Ford partnered shop. For some unknown reason that change isn't hitting everywhere at once so people are just going to drive 20 miles to the next state where it's not a thing yet. Hearing GM is about to do the same for all their cars. Not worth fixing these shits if we're going to have to make our customers pissed off at the price.

I don't think that's gas. If I'm not mistaken there is an engine oil reservoir tank back in that area of the car. You can tell it looks more like oil too because it looks kind of like syrup and not a liquid like gas would.

Why? Chase's wasn't anything to throw a caution for on the last lap of the race. They want it to end under green, no one knew it wouldn't have changed anything nor knew the crash would have happened
@captainnebulous2918
@captainnebulous2918 3 жыл бұрын
NASCAR definitely should not have thrown the yellow when Chase wrecked. That wreck wasn't going to be a danger to the rest of the field. And how are you going to say "NASCAR should have done this because in the unknown-at-the-time future Ryan's wreck was going to happen" ? Personally I think NASCAR could stand to just stop throwing yellows all together unless a car is literally stopped on the track long enough for the leaders to get to it. Rarely was it ever an issue when they did that. Of course throw the yellow for significant contact of any kind. But never when the car is out of the way on the final lap. They throw way too many yellows especially now with the useless stage yellows.

I have to say this a million times.... there are flips most of the time at superspeedways so Denny didn’t know it was serious cause of how common it was until he was told it was serious. I’m not a Denny fan, I don’t hate him, I’m just trying to help you understand.
@captainnebulous2918
@captainnebulous2918 3 жыл бұрын
Yes because somehow a driver celebrating on the opposite side of the track is going to know what's really going on. The crews generally keep their mouth shut at first to avoid upsetting the drivers and also because they don't know what's going on really either. And I will tell you first hand you're never looking in the mirror at the finish line on the last lap. By that point it's all about what's going on in front and beside you.
