This 2020 Ford Expedition has a check engine light P0430. catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 2. Performed pinpoint test for TSB 21-2381 and a new catalytic converter is needed.

@@justchillax421 it's not dangerous to drive. Your fuel mileage may go down. Try another dealer I doubt they are that bad of a backorder

Oh man this was when I was st the dealer. It's easy to take out. Remove the three bolts from the converter to manifold. Remove the band clamp on the cross tube. And it's out. Install in reverse

No it's not. There's a tsb for it. It was the manufacturer of the cats. Taurus had the same issue

I have the same code that just popped up on my 2019 expedition. No smoke out exhaust or performance issues , Do you know if switching between unleaded and premium gas can cause code p0430 to show up?

Unleaded and premium is the same. Regular unleaded mid grade unleaded premium unleaded. There is no leaded gas anymore. You have low mid and premium. Switching between any of those won't cause it. The catalytic converter is bad. It needs a new one and possibly a pcm reprogram if that hasn't been done

Well first a 420 is catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 1. It means the catalytic converter is bad. You changed a sensor for no reason. The sensor is good because it literally told you the catalytic converter was bad. If it was a sensor you would get stuck rich or stuck lean or a biased code. You Needed to change the catalytic converter on the passenger side. Not the sensors.
