"Mondrian looking element"? (13:24) Kudos, Tom. That art history in college wasn't such a waste of time, after all, eh? I've never owned a Land Rover but my friends who have describe their experience in terms of reliability and repair costs as nightmares. On the other hand, I don't think my friends are a representative sample of vehicle owners (or voters) so I wouldn't generalize their experiences to make a universal judgment. In any event the Defender is undeniably a beautiful example of an SUV that occupies a very narrow and distinctive niche. Here in the Puget Sound area I'd guess it's especially appealing to very well paid 30-something Microsoft-ies with thousand dollar mountain bikes. :)

Great review bro subscribed. also watched your review on 2021 Yukon denali. Im actually in the market for a 7seat SUV and was loking st these two closely. Note that, the msrp are very same . I have test driven both. Both ride buttery smooth. Defender is definitely more refined and feels luxurious but comes with less options and third row space compared to the same priced Denali. Can’t decide!! What’s your take on these?
@DrivenCarReviews4 жыл бұрын
Honestly, the fact that you're looking at more than one vehicle is a good starting point. If you're REALLY going to use the 3rd row often you won't like Defender. Have you looked at Aviator, GV80 or the top Telluride?
@fi98654 жыл бұрын
@@DrivenCarReviews thanks for your reply Tom. I usually stick with European vehicles, only reason I was looking at GMC Yukon Denali is because of its rejuvenated masculine look and secondly I get an GM employee pricing. I have actually factory ordered one to my liking (94K CAD !! ). But after test driving a Defender I'm seriously having second thoughts. The Yukon is nice but might be an overkill even for my family with two kids. Technically I won't be using the third row except when our extended family/friends piggy back with us. Kids loved the rear entertainment system of the Yukon which is not available on the Defender. 90% of the time the vehicle will be driven to grocery stores/school. Worth mentioning that either of them would be leased for 24 months only :)
