This is insane. They keep making these new vehicles without fixing all the issues on the prior year models

I see now... the older explorers have a different system. The old disconnect is vacuum actuated and on the passenger side front diff.. Uses the same vac solenoids as what an F150 would have (but they never had problems then). Who knows how this works.

@@kevinjjang84 this was not the only problem I found on this vehicle that was making noise so I'm going to put the link here for the other issue just so you know there's a bad routing of a vacuum line that goes to the driver side motor mount and it rubs the CV axle and it makes a clicking sound

Hello, Thank you for posting these Aviator videos. If you ever get more in your shop, please post your troubleshooting videos. I just bought a pre-owned 2021 Aviator with 11500 miles on it. There is a ticking noise I notice at low speeds, up to 30 mph. I have already viewed your other video with the black cable and zip tying it. I will try to compare the sounds to see if it is a similar issue. Thanks!!

Brought the car back for the third time relating to the noise issue. A week ago, after sitting for a bit, it made a “grinding engine/fan” noise upon start up. It does this for all subsequent starts if sitting for about 30 min. This noise is in addition to the “ticking Predator clacking” noise I reported to them. I suggested it was the cam phasers after watching other videos relating to engine noises/problems. After sending them the video via text, the Service Manager knew what the problem was (cam phasers) immediately and did not even need to road test it. What is funny is that I told them what the potential problem was the prior 2 times, but now they are taking it seriously. Maybe because the videos are now embedded in their SMS texting system? Lol Shame this is happening on a 2 year old car with only 16700 miles on it. Also, found this video with the precise noise i was experiencing initially: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYqWaKqpj7abo9k The noise now is worse.

The previous post was related to cam phasers. Those have now been replaced, and that noise is gone. Now i have it in for the original ticking noise again. It is either the lifters or the rocker arm. Service dept is leaning toward rocker arm.

My Aviator is making noises on the driver's side and they are also calling it "normal". What a joke Lincoln has turned into. Let them go out of business. They have had my car for a total of 5 months in the first 3 years of ownership. Really, you pay $70,000 to $80,000 for this?!!!!!!!!

Idk what would cause this honestly. I have a 2020 and put 50k miles on it. Never had these issues. I wonder if it's climate, snow etc being a factor or if this is just a lemon. O ly thing I had was brake pad wear faster than most due to weight and the brakes weren't upgraded. I upgraded last year to some never stop slotted rotors and ceramic pads and they have lasted much longer.

My dealership... West Point Lincoln had an engineer come out after 6 attempts to repair the noise coming from the driver's front suspension. The engineer declared the noise was "normal."
@FordBossMe3 жыл бұрын
It's not a normal noise there's a vacuum line that goes from the motor down to the motor mount and the vacuum line ends up taking off of the CV axle Bellow clamp I have a second video on that
