Great video, also to remember for people who want the bike once you go under 20% battery the bike automatically goes into Eco Mode so you'll be doing 17-20mph. Something to think about if your low on juice and have to make the journey back home.

Exelant review, my NiGT is being delivered to my house next Tuesday, I am so looking forward to getting out on it. More so after watching your review. After 10+ years and 3 Harley-Davidsons. I very recently decided to considerably downsize from my Softail Street Bob. So traded in for a new Vespa GPS SUPER SPORT HPE. Thought though on the deal i got I must also get an e-scooter the NiGT will be perfect.

One thing it's missing... anti lock breaks/ABS. I rode my NQI GT a lot last year until someone pulled out in front of me, I skidded to the concrete.. broke my arm and dislocated my shoulder. I would gladly would pay more for an ABS version. I read a statistic that 1/3rd fewer deaths on motorcycles with ABS. Aside from that I love the NIU scooter.. I'd say my only complaint other than the ABS is it has a smooth ride but little bumps are pretty harsh, maybe a little better suspension would be nice. Great vid

Very good review, thx mate! Just looking at one here in Seychelles. Also a TVS I-Cube comes into contention. I like the quirky styling of the Niu. Also like the fact the batteries are removable. This will come in handy when you're out of the country for a while, it's always better to store the half charged batteries separately from the scooter inside your house.

It isn’t cheap but I can imagine for a pizza delivery or so it would be a great. Possible to do deliveries non stop, only with a 30sec swap and then again good to go. Faster then petrol and in long term the expensive battery would be compensated by no need to buy petrol.

Would an electric scooter like this make you want to go out riding? Or is it too 'boring?' to consider having fun on it, i.e Sunday afternoons around the local back roads? You have small scooters like the new Honda Cub 125 which running costs would be very low, about the same range but being petrol you just fill up again and carry on. Have you ridden the new Honda Cub? Be interesting which you'd consider spending your own money on?
@mariorjcorbin3 жыл бұрын
You can have just as much fun on this as a 125cc. The three modes, Dynamic and Sport being the most relevant here, can make back roads fun. Especially if you are into exploring roads less traveled. Carry your charger with you in the top box accessory and you can charge the scooter whilst having a spot of tea or better yet, fish and chips

I’ve been agonizing over purchasing this bike for over two weeks. Just sold my big 1200cc petrol bike fully intending to by an electric bike. My biggest issue is the top speed. I have a fair bit of dual carriage way in my commute and the 50mph top speed can get tiresome. More than that it doesn’t have much grunt for overtaking between 40 and 50 mph for overtaking. The BMW C evolution would be perfect but at €14,000 it is way too expensive. I might have to have one last petrol bike to carry me through for another 4 years until I can get something electric with a bit more power.

James...as always a great review. The difficulty is that a serious percentage of people in western Europe are a little anti the country of manufacture for reasons that do not need explaining. All the technology has been nicked from somewhere else and knocked out by a population paid three cents an hour. However great the products appear to be the life expectancy is likely to be short. I love the MG5 but never in a million years would I... This takes nothing away from your great quality reviews
