@@DOUBLERDIESEL I'm disappointed that they would do that. It's the truth. It doesn't provide power (actually lost power) without tuning. I bought their intake horn and disappointed after watching your video. It cost nearly $1K so you can lose power. I'm not spending more money on those turbo tubes either, I don't see it making any power and they are like $600+ for two tubes. But I'm going to tell the truth though. When people ask, I'm going to tell them Banks asked you to take your video down. Good luck to you.

Hey Ray, I have S and B on my 2020 6.7 cummins and have gotten an EGR overflow code thst the dealer says is being caused by the aftermarket airbox, any recommendation from your professional self regarding this issue and maybe some options for me? Love your channel!

Some of the earlier S&B intakes did not leave the MAF sensor calibrated correctly. We can tune the truck and recalibrate the MAF sensor to correct these issues.

Can you run a turbo like the fleece cheata and stay in compliance? Also can you put bigger injectors in and stay in compliance?

Good question and topic for discussion. Technically if a product does not alter emissions output vs stock, its good. You may have to prove that though if those parts are sold and installed. Personally I think after market vgts and slightly larger injectors would be fine. BUT, there's so much gray area in that realm, its really hard to say for sure though. The regulatory agencies are quick to tell you what you cannot do, but they will not tell you what you can do.

About how close would you say you are the having tuning for the Aisin transmissions? And that’s for any model year. Curious to see who else besides PPEI has developed it

Will these engines and turbos last 300,000 miles with this emissions compliance equipment on it? What’s the failure rate of these new engines?

Yes they can with good maintenance. We really feel the coming egr filter systems by Fass will go a long ways in making them last longer.

Is the HO differences just in the 5th gen or where they the same in the 4th gen also? I was always under the impression that the HO in the 13-18 was just factory tuning changes.

The 19 and newer HOs have mechanical differences than the standard output. The 13-18 HO was merely tuning differences between it and the standard.

Each mod before and after is priceless, and your doing mods that are affordable for the average owner. The main problem with newer diesels with all the required emissions systems is specifically the egr systems. It handcuffs one of the biggest advantages of having a diesel aside from torque, which is reliability. My 12 valve from 97, pre emissions, gets 22mpg mixed city/hwy all day long. Far above any new truck and in a completely different stratosphere compared to any newer V8 with cylinder shut off blah blah. It also has 500,000kms and shows no signs of needing a rebuild. I understand the want for vehicles that pollute less, but at what point is the fact newer emissions diesels requiring rebuilds at 200,000kms, or simply being sent to scrap for a new engine entirely, actually creating a larger carbon footprint than a classic diesel that shoots some black smoke here and there but lasts for 30 years at a much lower cost of maintenance and much better mileage vs diesels with all the emissions systems?

Indeed the EGR system, by pumping particulate back into the intake, is the worst thing on a modern diesel engine. Its the inert gases in EGR that are needed to reduce NOx, not the particulate...so why not try to filter out the particulate in EGR. We think a filtered EGR system will go a long ways in reducing EGR related engine problems. It will be interesting to see if Fass can make an EGR filter work on a Cummins.

No. Only 22 and newer require a PCM swap
