You can pass through from the rear. At the latch for the cup holder, instead of grabbing down, grab up. There's another latch to open the pass through. The entire middle section will fold forward, giving you access to the trunk.

The sunroof does have to go somewhere. It goes on the outside of the car, so it shouldn't cause any more of a problem for back seat headroom. The middle vents in the dash are not fake. They can be closed or open from the HVAC controls (at least they used to be). The dynamic steering isn't a feature that is meant to enhance the steering feel. It's a technical way to get the wheels to turn further with less steering input. Essentially, it's supposed to make the steering quicker. The difference is noticeable on very twisty roads and tight parking spaces.
@jakeclayson76473 жыл бұрын
The middle vents in the dash are 100% fake. I own this car. They are just there to create more of a uniform look on the dash. That’s it.
@chetthehoss3 жыл бұрын
@@jakeclayson7647 I've seen videos showing that the middle vents in the dash can be open or closed. You look at the toggle setting that seems to default to "3-zone". There is a picture icon of three arrows above that which shows the setting for the middle vent. That's how it was intended originally at least.

I absolutely get why people would not want to pay the extra but it’s not just extra horse power. I also find it weird that we have to justify our choices. Just love the fucken car you bought. If a guy in an RS5 launches quicker you won’t see him smiling and he won’t see you laughing at the extra coin he spent

I believe the S is better than the RS because the extra 100hp is definitely a plus. But nowhere near worth spending an extra $30k for it. This is not a track car, so S is better imo !

Ya the MSRP starts at 30k difference, but if you go with the Prestige on the S5 you’re already up to 60k. Then throw on black optics and a couple other options and you’re at 70k pretty easily. I’m trying to decide between the two right now, and after building both the RS was only 10k more. So it really depends if you’re cool with a bare bones S5 or not

Really nice video man and good impressions. Well done! Here in Germany, where I live, the new generation is only available as diesel. Thats so sad. Thats why I prefer my 2018 S5 Sportback here. Soon u can not drive any of those cars anymore here in Europe I guess - so lets just enjoy every day with those beautiful cars guys :)

This platform with a stage 1 93 or E mix tune is rapid on the stock turbo. Some pretty impressive numbers out there. EPL, APR and recently Unitronic. Intercooler should be your next upgrade. It still won't be an RS, but it will be quicker ha.
@RageCage17013 жыл бұрын
I reckon an S5 w/ a Stage 1 APR + Intercooler upgrade would be neck and neck with a stock RS and it would essentially go down to a driver's race. The spacing between the S5 and RS5 isn't that huge to begin with, right? About .5s difference to 60 and 1s difference in the quarter mile -- we're not talking about a huge gulf in performance.
@SquashPile3 жыл бұрын
@@RageCage1701 True.. all good points. I'm on the EPL FBO Stage 2 file now with their TCU tune. There are a few guys with B9 TTE hybrids on Audizine. One member (BrockDM) recently posted an update on the EPL hybrid file and made like 524whp on a mustang dyno. I believe his best 1/4 so far is 10.8. He has a recent YT dyno vid too. Updated LC and rolling anti-lag in the next EPL update.

I have been back and forth between and S4/5 and RS3 for awhile now, the RS3 is going to cost more than an 18' S4/5... I went and sat in an S3 after sitting in an 18' S5 and the interior in the S3 was very underwhelming.... it even was less cockpity than the S3.... which the RS3 is exactly the same minus little RS interior bits etc... can I really justify 52-60k for an RS3..? no probably not, the S5's interior was sooooooooo MUCH nicer and I actually felt like I was in a sports car compared to the S3 body... :/ I was pretty disappointed. plus the S4/5 has a real Quattro system and you can get a limited slip diff which is a no brainer. the V6 also sounded very nice too!!! so as of now currently my Eye is on a more practical Audi the S5 Sportback with red interior oh and I forgot to mention the SEATS OMG!!!! they can be adjusted to hug you sides O__O that was what settled it for me mostly as the seats in the RS3/S3 does not have any of those functions they are bland, and massaging feature O____O so bitchin. also the S5 drove really fuckin nice. I have driven a Stage 2 BMW M4 it's way too raw race like as my buddies car is just stiff as shit really will never get to use that potential until on a track. not very practical, the S5 is a pretty practical car, it's not slow, nice tech, and it's got comfort. I was urge you to go test drive an S5 I'm not even gunna bother test driving an RS3 and I feel I would buy that car only because of the 5 Pot.... otherwise it has NOTHING else going for it.

HEY CAN YOU PLEASE GO INTO THE SETTINGS FOR THE STEREO SYSTEM FOR THE BANG AND OLUFSEN SYSTEM AND SEE IF THERE IS AN OPTION TO ADJUST THE SUBWOOFER? I WAS TEST DRIVING THE A5, AND THE NEW TOUCHSCREEN DOESNT HAVE AN OPTION TO ADJUST THE SUB, ONLY 3D, BASS, TREBLE. I CURRENTLY HAVE A 2020 S3, AND I HAVE THE B&O SOUND SYSTEM, AND I CAN ADJUST THE SETTINGS FOR SUBWOOFER, AND IT SOUNDS WAY LOUDER AND MORE POWERFUL THAN THE A5 THEY GAVE ME AS A LONER. Wife had B&O in her Q5 and I have B&O in my Ford F-150. For her new S5 Sportback, I had to fade to damn near the back seat for it to sound proper in the front seats. With that done it is better than my F-150 and possibly better than the Q5. Quite powerful. Excellent mid-range and bass.

So you never state WHY you think this is better than the RS5. I’m curious why you think it’s better. Is the RS5 too fast?
@dj98873 жыл бұрын
Cost efficiency. 100hp extra for an additional 30K doesn’t make sense. 0-60 not even a full half second faster.
@seann79433 жыл бұрын
@@dj9887 Negative...S5 does 0-60 in about 4.2 (which is pretty damn fast). RS5 is about 3.6 which last time I checked is over a half second faster. More importantly (because 0-60 doesn’t mean much these days), the quarter mile in the S5 is about 12.9 at 108 vs 11.9 at 118. That is a helluva a lot faster...at least a car length. And to boot, the difference between 2 fully loaded models is only about $26k. The S5 is only better if that’s all your budget allows.
@dj98873 жыл бұрын
@@seann7943 so you’re telling me, you’re willing to pay an extra 26K for those numbers? I’m good bro lol I have no reason for any of that. I drive a Panamera & it rarely sees 80mph nor do I floor it when I’m merging the freeway. Guess it boils down to what kind of driver you are. I’m not worried about budget, to me it’s about the more bang for my buck. If you want something, you’ll make a way to get it. & a RS5 just doesn’t make sense for especially when I already have a Pani as a daily
@seann79433 жыл бұрын
@@dj9887 Exactly you just proved my point. You have a Panamera and rarely drive it over 80 and never floor it. I’m guessing you don’t have an ‘S’ or a turbo. I have a 650i and let’s just say it gets driven. Anybody who frequents a drag strip or track would appreciate the RS5’s add’l performance. The point is: this is why they make an A5, S5 and RS5. Panamera, S, GTS, Turbo. Although YOU may not have a use for the extra power/performance, somebody else would. And for those the difference is worth it. For me, I’m considering a CPO RS5 at which point the difference in price is only about $15k. And I prefer to keep my cars’ engines stock as opposed to tuned, to maximize warranty and reliability. So you’re right an RS5 wouldn’t make sense for YOU but it would make sense for 1000s of others
@dj98873 жыл бұрын
@@seann7943 you damn right. I prefer luxury and practicality over performance. There’s no use for me personally. 🤷🏽♂️ the S5 has everything the RS5 has just without the performance. I’d rather get a S5 and use the 15-25K to buy a Ducati if I wanna be a speed demon lol
