A tip for freeze drying green beans for the casserole. Freeze dry the sauce and the green beans separately and then add them together in the package before vacuum sealing. Just do a quick poach of fresh green beans that way they will stay a little firmer and not be over cooked

Steve, I have a suggestion: If you weigh the freeze-drier trays before and after the process, you can calculate how much water was removed from the food during the process, and note that amount on the individual bags. That way, you'd know exactly how much water you need to add back in for rehydration.
@KainYusanagi4 жыл бұрын
Not only that, but for sauces or other such mixes, run them through a food processor to powder them, if you don't have the patience or time to grind them down with mortar and pestle.
