iirc, the transmission is the ZF 8speed from the standard BMW lineup and almost every other spots car now.

Joe awesome video! Kinda surprised that you said V6 (yeah I know you corrected yourself) considering the last Supra also came with an L6. Totally agree with the “bubbly” factor. Trying to like this car but its looks are a bit polarizing. Also kind of surprised that you still dislike BMWs, especially after the redeeming qualities you pointed out in the Yas Marina M3 video you did a while back. Also appreciate your feedback on the transmission. Kind of considering getting the M340i but I absolutely love the M4 (which you hate) and I agree the DCT is way more engaging than the ZF 8 speed (although the ZF is great also, just not as fun). I may just get the M4 before it goes out of production. Keep up the awesome videos and cinematography. Also loved the software consulting business vlog stuff you used to put out.

I think the Supra's design grew on a lot of folks after the initial launch myself included. I think its a gorgeous car with a really good sound. Hagerty made a good video about the hardpoints Toyota had to deal with when designing the final mk5 supra which is why it looks the way it does.

Matthew Trevino Fitness really depends on if u want to 4K and if u wanna be future proof. M50 can do 4K but it’s not the best for it bc of the crop when u 4K. A6400 is way better for 4K. If u just want to do 1080 and don’t care for 4K, then you’d save a lot of money going for the M50

I really want to drive one of these just to see how different it is from the predecessor. The A80 was laughably slow and bulky when it was on bolt ons. The blind sports are nothing new the A80 has a lot of blind spots as well you get used to it after awhile.

Great review! Being an owner of my GR Supra, I daily it and track it..it’s hands down the best car for the money for what I was looking for. This blows the M2 out of the water in terms of handling and I wholeheartedly mean it. The balance is beautiful in the new Supra! So for under $60k this car is a bargain for what you get it if...and I will stress “IF” you are a serious driver, enthusiast.

“Car does a real good feeling like it makes a lot more power than it does” Interesting because the horsepower/torque is always bagged on the spec sheet. Stock it actually makes closer to 340hp and 427lb-ft to the wheels which is definitely great considering the crank numbers. I’ll agree it’s a little overplayed now, but still a great car and a great video
