You guys do a great job with these reviews, it would be cool if you added another guy with a free ride-ish background to give some additional insight to the bikes from that perspective (jumps, whips, jibs etc) but I know enduro is the huge thing right now so there may not be a big enough audience. Awesome job either way 🤘

@@rosshannigan663 To be honest, this derailleurs work amazing for the first month and a half, but after a dozen of rides gears are starting to skip in the middle of the cassette, and you can't do anything about it. In France our trails are really rough with loads of exposed rocks and roots so it doesn't help, but a Mtb derailleur should be able to handle a few strikes. Saw the new Scout the other day and kinda fell in love with the lines. But somehow, even in absence of the skills that would require to have plenty of suspension, I was really not sure if the Scout had enough of it. Now to see a 29er scout with more suspension is awesome. Thst bike looks so damn sick and the review is awesome.

How much of a bike’s feeling on the trail comes down to suspension tune and or setup? With all the dials and switches on modern suspension I feel like you could make a bike feel entirely different with just some minor tweaks. I wish this was addressed more in reviews.

Love everything about it. Too bad there isn't a 27.5 version of it. At least there's the Scout. It's got a half degree steeper HA and 10mm less travel in the front and rear, but at least I won't have to deal with the tire rubbing my butt.
@L4J204 жыл бұрын

@juanlucioguzman60754 жыл бұрын
The Scout is literally the Sentinel as a 27.5 bike. You can swap the shocks from the Sentinel to the Scout and vice versa. Run the Sentinels 62.5 stroke shock and the Scout has 150mm out back. Bump the Scouts fork to 160, which just requires a 160 air shaft for 40$, and the Scout is the 27.5 version of the Sentinel.

Does it have a drain hole on the bottom of the downtube? I’ve got a Carbon scout from a few years ago and that’s my major issue with it... no drain hole, living in Scotland the bike needs a wash pretty much every time it goes out, if you absentmindedly spray the head tube with the hose the frame fills up with water - my old bandit had one so it obviously something transition did, no idea why they stopped...

Question: I have a Giant Reign with 180mm Travel in the front. This is how I purchased it second hand. The thing is a nightmare to climb as expected. I was wondering if installing say 160mm shocks up front would make a difference to uphills or will it not actually effect it due to the head angle. Basically what I want to know is, is my problem head angle or shock travel? Thanks :)

@@zachaxel4403 it's fine to mix brakes with a different drivetrain. In the higher end lines you just lose the ease of integration. It's also fine to use one brand crankset on another band drivetrain.
