You can officially call me a Sias Elmore fan. First time I saw him on coverage he had drop out mid round due to an injury. Maybe I felt bad or something but every time I saw him after that I found myself rooting for him. And hearing him on commentary he seems like a real nice, solid dude. Always great to hear less well known pros on commentary and get a feel for their personality

So. This may be an unpopular opinion regarding old courses like this one and my own. High foot traffic has possibly led to mild erosional issues on certain holes and areas. The first thing that comes to mind is unfortunately taking down the baskets for a period of time so spots can re-flourish. Of course, who would want that? Sodding, terracing, stone work, gravel, grass growing, re-design etc are options but I wonder what else can be done for the future soil of our favorite courses?

There might not be a rule of verticality, but we do have rules regarding playing surfaces. If a player cant take a legal stance from their lie and/or the ground/surface under them can't support them then it's not a playing surface. In that case the player would have to go directly above or below to the nearest playing surface to play from. It would be rare if you couldn't take a legal stance from under a picnic table, but it would come into effect in case of being under a deck, inside a pipe, or circumstances similar to that.

at 20:21, Logan ends up under the picnic table. From the commentary, even 5 time world champion Paul McBeth, did not know the rules for this situation. Rule 802.05 A allows a lie to be taken on a playing surface above the ground, which is the usual playing surface. Logan could have thrown from on the picnic table, exactly above where his disc landed, if he had wanted to.
