I just got mine today! I got the 2021 Sport Platinum with a white exterior but with a light tan interior. Mine has supercruise, electric side step, 4WD, refrigerator/freezer, night vision and pretty much all the other options possible. I could not be happier! I waited 10 months for mine. That is how long it took to get it completed from the time I sat down with the dealership. The supercruise feature is what took longer since it could only be added to phase 2. I am a happy camper! It came out better than I even expected. Mine was MSRP $113K but ened up being $124,600 with tax and everything, but on top of that, I added an extended warranty at $6,000, floor liners $560 on all 3 rows plus for the trunk, leather protector $1800, the roof rack was another like $600 and if that wasn't enough,... I think I may need to add their product that they use to protect the fabric (other than the leather they use)...waiting on an exact price for that...probably another $1800. So after all the expenses that added up for this vehicle, which is around $135,000...I better love it! I am surprised I said yes, but I was sold the first time I saw it being driven up my drive way.

GM has the two best new car releases of the year, with the C8 Corvette and this new Escalade GM may be going broke, at over $30 Billion in debt, but that doesn't mean they are dead. The General can still build with any automaker in the world, and the Escalade proves it.

How is GM going broke? They are making a profit in billions after revenue. What will make them go broke is if they make super expensive projects that is ultra luxurious with a price tag at a quarter of a million and losing money on them. They may not make money on the C8 yet but will. The Escalade definitely will turn a profit right away.

The last generation stickered for over 100 loaded. No one pays that for a GM though. Except for the gotta have the first one folks. I bought my '18 ESV Premium that stickered for $98 in Feb of '19. CPO with 8500 miles on it. 6yr/100k warranty for $64.9. I'll wait and let someone else take the depreciation hit.

I think it should have been noted that the diesel gets gas mileage in the 20s even combined. I think around 600 miles of range, torque in a lower rpm, and emits lower green house gases. I mean those are important details.

Not overly impressed with the exterior. The XT6 looks better but that interior is amazing. Leather looks like snakeskin. Cadillac has done it again and glad that my mans Steve got a chance to review it first. That being said I'd still go with the Navigator or Yukon Denali...even the new Genesis GV80 looks amazing

Steve, I remember you testing the previous version and you weren't happy with the ride as I wasn't when I experienced it as well. Really glad to hear that they have improved that, above all else. Icing on the awesome cake is the interior, I just wish that they had gone a little differently with the exterior's strict 2 box styling. Nevertheless, gorgeous beast, and even a better review of it. Definitely give it a few years to work the bugs out. Never own a first year GM anything. Plus they'll have so many incentives once these become popular. No one pays sticker for an American luxury vehicle.

I can't understand why most SUVS have thick side walls in the back/3rd row cargo area. Some have up to 1 ft of wasted space from the interior to the outside panels. They should make the walls thinner and 3 people would fit more comfortably at the back a well as make the cargo area wider for more space.

My biggest 2 knocks on the Cadillac brand is the lack of quality/details in cost cutting for a lucky brand and they don’t age well. When it comes to an older luxury car none look worse than the caddy

I just looked/test drove a 2021 Escalade “Sport” with rear entertainment. It is a friggen joke for a $103k vehicle. It wouldn’t compete in quality with a $50k BMW X3. The plastics used and manual second row seats with plastic levers are no better than what is found in a GM 1/2 ton pickup crewcab. Buttons and quality of leather is the same as a Yukon or pickup. I would even conclude a Ram Limited pickup is more luxurious and better executed. Top engine trim engine of 6.2L V8 only has 420hp?? How is that possible to have a engine this big with only 420hp? That is pathetic and can not be dismissed at any price point. I was stunned GM would price the particular model I drove any higher than maybe $65k. Perhaps one could be impressed by the Escalade looking from a Chevy owners view point if that is all they were exposed to?? No way is Cadillac completing with the big luxury brands of Germany mid tier vehicles let alone their flagships.
