Amazing performance on this Monster and awesome riding! That was a blast to watch this naked street bike go head-to-head with these fully-faired sport bikes. Impressive!

maybe because there is a lot of turning so the lower power range of a twin is better for the constant re accelerations? with a lot more straights i am sure the others guys would own the monster. Or the monster guy is just better and more confident to push himself where as the others don't want to push it as much. Many factors
@ducatitesteratta41773 жыл бұрын
My home track is about 2 miles long and ex-AMA racers are turning lap times close to the fastest superbikes on Ninja 400's. The light weight of the Monster is a big advantage!!
@NoHope_2 жыл бұрын
The smaller bike is also ducatis entry bike, you wouldn’t want someone starting on the 1200 or a v4r, it wouldn’t end well for them, but you could definitely start on this bike.
@rajsteint64872 жыл бұрын
@@NoHope_ this bike goes pretty good. It's a middle weight naked and until you actually ride one you won't have as much respect for it. I bought one and nothing but compliments. I have friends who ride Harleys and R1, Ninjas and all the other crotch rockets and myself, I have been on all sorts of bikes. I let a few of them ride my Monster with Full Termignoni Race Exhaust and Up map and they gained respect for it really quickly. The power to weight ratio, the beautiful looks, the sound with the Termignoni. It's no Monster 696 or even a 821, it's a different beast (I've been on a 821). I still like the lower cc Monsters too but this bike is next level. the KTM Duke 890 R, Yamaha MT 09 and Ducati Monster 937 are the best middle weight naked bikes.

I'm trying to decide between this new 2021 Monster, a Triumph Street Triple, and a Yamaha MT-09. Do you think it's the best bike for $12K USD? Or is there something else in that price range you would prefer? And I noticed you were also testing a Supersport 950. If you had to choose between the Supersport and the Monster, which would you pick?

Hi mate, I was watching as I might want to do a bit of track fun with mates, would you say stock trim was perfectly enjoyable or newer SP models would have been better with setup suspensions and stylema brembo brakes? I felt like stock one was pretty good but rather ask :)
@hectorallanrivera93343 жыл бұрын
Important question I need to ask, I have a sport bike I use for track. I'm 53 now, did sports throughout my younger years and I get really sore end of a track with my sport bike. Would you consider the 2021 Monster or the new V2SF? I would change Monster suspension (Ohlins does rear shock, not sure about fronts) and go with that bike if it is more upright...please help, share your knowledge my friend! : )
@CaliMotoTV3 жыл бұрын
We can't really say which one is better given we haven't ridden the V2SF yet. The Panigale V2 is brilliant. It also really depends what HP you're enjoying / comfortable with, what tracks you frequent. Monster has 115hp vs V2 155hp.

You can still change springs, shim, or use different weight oil to make changes in sag, spring rate, dampening, etc.
@rudedog35293 жыл бұрын
Sometimes you get lucky. My 2021 Trident was spot on in the forks. 32mm sag. ( I adjust for 30 to 35 mm ) Dampening and spring rate were also spot on. Rear shock sucked, so I adapted a Sachs shock from an early Aprilia RSV4 Tuono. Used Penske 750 LB spring and was at 14 mm assembled preload FTW. 👍 The Sachs shock, itself, can be had off Ebay for $ 90 to 110 USD. 12 inch eye to eye.
