I work oilfield construction in Western Canada and am an avid outdoorsman and these modern pickups are so comfortable and versatile its crazy. One thing I'm concerned about is the long term reliability and viability of all the electronics and options! My current ride is a '16 150 w/5.0 and 6 speed purchased for long term reliability and ease of maintaining. I just purchased this same truck, only in white ... about 3 weeks in and everything mentioned in this video is spot on. I do find the transmission annoying at times - it will skip 2nd gear on a light acceleration and kind of thunk, I don't like that. The B&O stereo is unbelievable for a truck, the quiet is like an Audi, the acceleration is like a serious sports car, the tech all works and it gets great mileage - 26, 22, 23, 24 mpg on first four fillups w/ 87. The only thing I do not like is the outside speaker that makes noises so the hybrid can meet the US safety standards (I have three layers of duct tape all over mine, helps but you can still hear it a bit).
@The87por9243 жыл бұрын
20:30 Could the lurch while braking be caused by the regenerative braking being on the other side of the transmission? This was an issue many reviews noted with Hyundai's hybrid in comparison to the Prius. It was basically a pause in braking while the transmission shifts

Did they fix the seat coolers? I have a 2015 F-150 Platinum FX4 and had to put in an aftermarket hot-side exhaust on the electronic heat-exchangers (Peltier devices) for the seat-back portion, otherwise the hot side would just exhaust into the air space between the leather and the seat cushions, causing the whole seat to heat up faster than the cooler would cool. Even with that fix, the coolers are still lackluster compared to Dad's Ram 3500 seat coolers.

The 10speed is kinda clunky and indecisive when cruising in normal mode. The downshift clunk into 3rd is something you’ll have to get used to unfortunately. Mine hasn’t got better in 25k. I have heard that a tuner helps the transmission strategy. Under any other drive mode or harder acceleration where it’s not skip shifting it’s really nice. More positives than drawbacks. I do prefer the tow haul mode as it turns the fake engine sound down.

Tell me about it, 10 speed 5.0 here and not even Ford tsbs fixed it. Custom tuning did though, trans has been flawless since, even better mileage with no bs epa "gear skipping". And it just rips through the gears smoothly and fast, plus Coyote loooooooves responding to tunes for a n/a block. Haven't had on issue, clunk, bang, drunk shift, or gear holding coming to a stop since. GM cars and trucks don't have the issues the Ford 10 speed variants do, they (ironically given its GM) figured out stock programming far better. Trans are literally identical internally, just Ford had drunk engineers program theirs....

@adamnagel74363 жыл бұрын
Is that why GM is going all electric by 2035? If they did that they would still pay the penalty for gasoline engine. It would also make the units even more heavy and expensive. The reason they don't do it is because it doesn't make sense. It's more efficient to have gas power the vehicle than to use gas to make electric.

WTF is the point of hands free driving? Seriously? Why is ANY manufacturer wasting their time trying to develop a useless technology. I can see subtle features like parking assistant, or maybe even remote parking, but driving hands free on the road? What is the point? You will never be able to trust it to not end your life suddenly, and the government is never going to allow self driving vehicles to be on the road.
