I have a 2017 Hyundai Tucson. I went with the Tucson because I wanted AWD. It has been one of the biggest mistakes. The first was getting a Hyundai. They don’t care about their consumers. My car has been blowing headlights- having electrical issues (my auto windows go back down when you roll them up, my rear windshield wipers go off whenever they want, my break light seems to go on and off at random. I have reached out because as a company they should only want the best products out there. I was told that “because my car is over 3 years old. There is nothing they can do for me. To bring it to a dealer and “see what I can get” for it. I owe more than it’s worth because one thing they don’t tell you when you buy a Hyundai is they depreciate way faster than you can make payments to survive. DO NOT BUY A HYUNDAI.

So in the U.S., it looks like we won’t be getting the heated rear seats, rear air vents, cooled front seats or digital gauges on the N-Line. I know sedans don’t sell well here in the states, but it makes me sad how stripped down they are for the NA market. Same thing happened with the NA Kia K5…
@panzer_maxus99704 жыл бұрын
Same in Canadaland - we get stripped down versions of cars - even same model for the Mexico markets (I talk about Hyundai/Kia) have better options than the same model for Canadian market. I guess we are "lesser and less demanding" customers...

I think the US Elantra N-line won't even come with LED lights.
@yeniyimdaha4 жыл бұрын
Probably same thing applied on Turkey market too. Getting heated front and rear seats is like a impossible thing. And even worser thing is probably they eill not sell N-Line in Turkey...
@guillo81854 жыл бұрын
Yea idk why kia and hyundai in NA do this. Like you said they have done this with he k5 which just really dumbs down the interior...also with the seltos sx. You can get the same exact seats that have the ventilation...but they don't have them hooked up or a button to activate them. Which makes no sense. It's already built in. 🤦🏻♂️Europe got the fastback Elantra as well. Which I think would have really sold well in the US. But knowing the N line won't get the digital gauges and cooled seats...is a deal breaker for me. I live in Florida and in 2020 cooled seats should be as standard when heated seats are included.

What comments such as these fail to recognize is that every automaker designs trim levels and features to meet a price point for their models that is determined to a great extent by the competition in a particular national market. The Hyundai and KIA brands face no significant competition from Honda or Toyota in the Korean market. That, of course, isn't the case in North America where vehicles like the Elantra and the K5 are marketed as "value" (i.e. less expensive) models compared to the Civic, the Corolla, the Accord and Camry. Furthermore, the Korean brands are not alone in this situation. American owners of the VW GTI have complained for years that the European spec version is far better equipped than the North American version. On the other hand, Germans are prepared to pay the equivalent of $50,000 plus for a top trim GTI while the top trim US trim has an MSRP around $38,000 and is often sold at a substantial discount.

Really well done review. Its a shame Hyundai/Kia keep refusing to give the 1.6T fwd application a mechanical LSD like the competition such as the Civic SI. This car has so much promise but that is the one major corner they keep cutting. The wheelspin and traction control constantly intervening and cutting power because the front wheels can't handle the torque is why I have stayed away from the fwd 1.6T cars.

Got a 2021 elantra loaner on me right now, basic sel and wow there are so many things i love about it. But it needs way more power for passing and corner exits, looks like this helps with that! I love the digital gauges but they did away with the fuel meter and it just tells distance now which is really odd. Wish i could add it onto screen along with the digital speed read out. In ny 1mph can be difference between ticket or no ticket on highway and the digital gauge style display is too small for me to fine tune it.

I ordered one of these, but in Australia, it's known as an i30 N-Line Sedan. Not sure why they dropped the Elantra name here.
@AsianPetrolhead4 жыл бұрын
Really? they call it i30 Nline sedan. Why not call it just Elantra. But congratulations on your new car. It's going to be fun. Thank you Michael for tuning in. And please do support us by subscribing. Thank you.

@@AsianPetrolhead Yeah it's a weird step, we've previously had Elantra's here, up until last year. Hoping to pick up my white one this week... also ours don't come with sunroofs :(

HI. I love your reviews. I love that you like driving your Hyundai's FAST, just like me. I'm a little confused. I've been waiting for the 2021 Elantra N-Line to come out this fall in the US. You mention in this production that you are reviewing the Elantra N-Line, but then state you are waiting for the Elantra N to be even sportier. Is there going to be a second Elantra N version coming out?
@AsianPetrolhead4 жыл бұрын
Yes, this is N-line and Hyundai will also introduce the full N / Elantra N sometime next year. It's just more hard core. Thank you for watching our 2021 Hyundai Elantra N-line review. And if you love cars and car reviews, please do support us by subscribing. Thank you.
