Listening to you share your story of how God provided in his timing for you to be a stay at home mom after going through financial peace is what I needed to hear. I’m pregnant with my first and still have student loan debt. I’ve never made enough to be able to cover child care so I’m going to stay home. Knowing we will be set back on financial goals is very difficult, but I’m thankful for Christian examples that show how we just have to trust God and allow him to show us where we need to grow and trust him! Thank you for always being so open about your journey! 💕

I am a retired schoolteacher. I taught for 25 years. I was able to stay home with our son until he started preschool. That was the most incredible blessing. You can get back money but you cannot get back time. Then I taught many years halftime and finally went back full-time. You and your husband have done a marvelous job. Being debt-free is so important and liberating. We paid off our home and our cabin and I just have a little bit of a car payment to finish and then we are totally debt-free! ❤️✝️❤️

I taught for 4 years, three years in public school and 1 year at a Christian school. Throughout college and when I was first starting I never dreamed I would be a stay at home mom either, but after my first baby, my husband I started praying the door would open. I started teaching at a private school at the beginning of last school year which dropped our income significantly. I also found out I was having baby #2. I was torn if I wanted to quit this year or keep teaching but God allowed my husband’s income to supplement mine with a new client. We couldn’t ignore His hand in that so this is my first year to be at home. We had our second baby girl in August, and I absolutely love being at home with our girls. Also, without my income we were able to finally pay off some debt we’ve had since we got married! God is awesome!

I just had to pause the video and thank you for sharing your testimony! I am an elementary teacher as well, but divorced with no kids. I want a family, but I know God needs me to wait and grow, in spite of my ticking time clock. My season of an Abraham/Sara blessing is coming, and I am preparing myself now. I plan to eventually transition to online teaching so that I can teach from home, and start my own college prep. consulting business on the side. I want to be a work from home mom.

Thank you for sharing your story of becoming a stay at home mom!! I bet a lot of people didn't realize how hard you & your husband worked to get to that point. I was able to stay at home for a year when I had my 3rd child and now I work part time. I've had opportunities to work full time and sometimes I'm tempted because it would be nice to have more money. But the extra time I get with my children (even though they are older now 12-15) and the time I have to keep my house in order is worth more than money!! I am so less stressed when I have time to get things done and that makes me a better mom :)

I finally got a stove with a self clean feature. It's so nice. I used after major holidays and just when the oven needs it. The oven door locks until the cycle is done because of the high heat. Then when the oven is completely cooled off, I just wipe with water. It cleans the racks too. It's was worth the extra cost.

I actually started writing and crossing off things that were not on my list because there were days that got interrupted or something happened and I would feel like I didnt accomplish enough. Keeping track of what I DID do (even if it wasnt on my list) help me realize that I am enough. Maybe I didnt get laundry finished but I did take my kid to the park. Maybe dishes sat overnight but I helped a friend.

Thank you for sharing your story. My biggest regret is not staying home when my son was young. He is a great young man but time goes so fast, any time you can spend with them is worth whatever sacrifice you make. Anyway...now I need to clean my oven! 💕

Love your videos so much, watch them almost every time I am cleaning or just laying in bed winding down for the night. I was curious to know where the pictures over your bed were from? I’d love something similar!
