This is a great "Lifted Hot hatch". Test drove one when I went to check out my eventual vehicle the 6 turbo SIgnature, The turbo +AWD in the Cx30 makes it so much fun and the interior is leagues ahead of the mainstream competition. Very tight back seat though, not too ideal for child seats especially rear facing infant seats.

Agreed on that tank size. That’s a showstopper and would be annoying for a lot of people requiring two gas station trips a week. Same thing with the Honda Accord Sport. Just too thirsty for that size of a tank.
@ryangromoll9329
@ryangromoll9329 2 жыл бұрын
I own a CX-30 and mine has AWD which means that the gas tank is only 12.7 U.S. gallons; I’ve only put 1,400 miles on the car so far but I am getting 300 miles to a tank of fuel due to the MPG number. I think 300 miles on a tank of gas is plenty of range, there are gas stations all over and when I need to fill up it only takes a minute or two so I’m not bothered by the small tank size, just giving my opinion.

I didn't like the styling so much when this language had come out, but it has really grown on me to the point I appreciate its smooth uniqueness. Add on to the other trims the turbo and it just doesn't sound better, but looks so much more enjoyable to drive. Sort of the best of all worlds, class, simplicity, sportiness, and a real fun to drive factor -- I may have to rethink buying my Maverick when it arrives at the dealership in a few weeks. This is definitely more the vehicle I want.

Mazda makes great vehicles. I've driven the mazda bt50 diesel 3.2L and 2.2L both diesel. The 2.2L automatic isnt powerful like the manual version but great engine. The 3.2L diesel is more favored. I really love the simplicity inside the BT50, theres no center screen which ford has in their ranger T6 facelifted version. Apart from that I've also driven a mazda 6...very fun vehicle. I have a 2020 Mazda CX30 premium and I love it. I’ve owned mini coopers, Lexus Nx, and Mercedes S550 so I’m used to comfy fun cars and Mazda nailed it. For all you cx30 owners..they have a fix for the AC..it will no longer blow warm air when you accelerate 🥶
@oasisofficial2696
@oasisofficial2696 3 жыл бұрын
Can you explain that AC thing??
@rrange
@rrange 2 жыл бұрын
@@oasisofficial2696 sure thing, at least this vehicle for my mom the first week it came out almost 2 years ago and she stole my brand new Mercedes convertible that at least for myself so I took the Mazda we got for her instead and I actually loved it, I’ve kept telling myself how this is a Mazda because my father and I have been in the automotive repair industry for a very long time. About 2 marchs ago I noticed every time I would accelerate with the air conditioning turned on it would blow warm air and then when I would let go of the gas pedal the cold air would come back. Older vehicles like Audis, vw and Volvos would do this. Most cars do not have this technology because there’s been really no need for them however no idea a Mazda programmed the CX 30 like this. After months of complaining to the Mazda dealership my technician who is an awesome guy informed me they finally created a software upgrade they perform the upgrade it took care of the problem I was extremely happy and then the warmer summer temperatures in California roll by when my issues really began. I have never felt cold in my car and neither have my passengers I complained to Mazda and the dealer along with corporate even confirmed they did not use the strongest air-conditioning system available to Mazda in the CX 30. My passengers have never said to me that they were ever called and they agree it doesn’t have ice cold air conditioning like a typical brand new Japanese vehicle. I got my digital and manual thermometer out and stuck them into the vents to find out it blows 60° coming out of the vents while driving, my 20-year-old in Mitsubishi Montero blows 34° while driving out of the AC vents.. my brand new Mercedes convertible blows 30° while driving out of the AC vents, I tested multiple brand new other Japanese manufacturers and they were also in the low 30°. The funny thing is my sister has a 2019 Mazda CX five and her air-conditioning is awesome it also blows 36° while driving. The dealer has given me a Mazda three which has the same engine so I would assume it has the same air-conditioning system and the Mazda3 air-conditioning is ice cold as well. I’ve test driven every brand new Mazda product they have besides Amira since I’ve gone to service many times and have received the different types mazda loaners from them. This was our second summer with the CX 30 and we’ve had many uncomfortable days inside it. Are usually have the fan speed on four or five and luckily I am young and have a great vision and I can hear the fan speed on its own sometimes become weaker without me changing the fan speed level. Mazda corporate approved a change of the air conditioning computer system one month ago and last week I noticed my thermometer on my dashboard that’s built into my car tell me that it was 22° outside when in fact it was 85° so I got hot turn the air-conditioning system on to find out it was blowing 90° hot air out of the vents, I called my service rep because he gave me a cell phone number and explained to him I am on the way and when I was five minutes away from the dealership the cold air conditioning air came back on however the digital thermometer of the exterior temperature on the cluster showed it was 40° when it was actually 85 outside. My car has been at the dealership since last Tuesday and they loaned me a 2021 Mazda CX five signature turbo all wheel drive and I am in love with it but I still wouldn’t get to CX five yet because there are many quirks that I would like for them to fix like the driver side is closer to the center armrest then the front passenger is so every time we make a left or right turn or I am moving my seat the driver seat touches the center armrest causing leather to scrape against each other making a very annoying noise I don’t know why every single Mazda CX five on the road right now is built the same way. Getting back to my CX 30, corporate approved them to change the entire PCM computer of the car without replacing the exterior temperature sensor for some reason so let’s see what happens when I get it back this week. Funny thing, the software upgrade is available for us Mazda CX 30 owners and I test drove a 2021 CX 30 turbo all wheel drive to only find out every time I would accelerate it would also blow warm air out of the air conditioning vents every time Cold air will come back when they let go of the gas pedal, I brought this up to the service e and he was shocked the upgrade was not installed, I notify the salesman but you know most of them don’t really know what product they are selling these days and he could give two shits about it. Don’t get me wrong I love the Mazda CX30 so much I’m considering trading it in and getting the turbo all-wheel-drive CX 30 however they need to really upgrade this air conditioning system in the car and I know they are able to do so because their other products have amazing AC systems. Sorry for the typos I used auto voice to text.

In reference to the lack of a traction control button, I would imagine it has to do with the differentials or AWD-system that they use, I know that on WRX's people say that you can smoke the diff's doing awd snow drifting, so I'd imagine mazda is just trying to save you from that. It does not auto up shift unless you are on the kick down switch. You’ll notice if you floor it and keep pressing harder the pedal clicks down one more notch. That is the kick down switch, and no matter what it will downshift to the lowest gear and auto up shift. If you floor it without hitting that switch or even at partial throttle it does not auto up shift

Hilarious that you called it a budget Macan, as I'm looking to trade in my '16 Macan for one of these or a mazda3 turbo. I know it won't be up to the same standard, but neither will the potential repair bills that are forever looming for the worst time to hit.

I just sold a 2020 AWD stinger and bought one of these and pocketed several thousand dollars.The interior is on par with newer Audis and was a better then my stinger.I thought about a Macan GTS or the Stelvio--but bought this--own it outright and now have 40k in my bank account--so i already own this CX-30 and have the money for my next vehicle.It is a nice car--I might trade it in on a GV70 in 2025.Honestly anything faster then this is overkill in normal driving.

Zoom Zoom Mazda, please give us this Turbo Motor and you can have from us ( Germany ) the very disappointing Skyaktiv X Motor with 180 HP but on the Street feels like max. 150 HP and if you drive a little bit sporty the motor needs a lot of petrol, only if you drive very slowly the engine is economy.
