2021 "SKYFEST" ~ Part 1

This video shows us getting the Spirit of St. Louis by JNE ready to participate in her very first airshow ... "SKYFEST 2021" at the Arlington Fly-In.
The day began with the FAA inspectors stopping by the hangar for a "ramp check" to ensure all our documents were in order.
This was also a "training day" for some new inspectors to learn the ropes. Most of the inspectors who arrived had not seen the Spirit yet, so they took advantage of the opportunity presented to them and checked her over closely ... in between taking pictures, of course!
This time we started out with John in the cockpit and Ron at the propeller! As usual when they trade positions, The Spirit jumped to life with very little coaxing!
Once Ron was in the cockpit, he made his way down the ramp to the taxiway and then north to the ultralight park where the Fly-In is always held.
