Another couple of vids that show the true nature of owning a 2250. Thanks again!

There is a reasonably new rod holder idea out that it’s a flush mount 360 degree rotating rod holder that you can change from your existing ones. The brand is Evolution. If your future plans are to add an electric motor on the boat your power source should include solar panels get it wired up so it tops up your house batteries as well. Not sure about holes in the transom for your bait tank drain could it not be with a skin fitting externally from the rear of the tank. Just my thoughts.

I've seen those rod holders and plan to probably switch to those when/if the current ones either get damaged. For the bait tank, I have considered a drain from the rear of the tank that simply spills onto the transom, but I think I have a good plan for the larger 1.5" drain and how to do it. I will post a video about it when it is complete.

Thanks for the in-depth review. I’m looking at the 2250 walkthrough. But still very similar. I like the safety aspect. It seems like a great boat for Alaska. Does yours have a heater? If not I’m curious if the heaters have vents for the windows. I put a Wallas on my 20’ Alumaweld. We deal with freezing spray in the winter which makes it difficult to see when you widows ice up. I’m going to subscribe so keep the updates coming. Give us your opinion on handling. Thanks again.

My understanding is that if you get the option for the heater, it does come with vent holes for the windows as well as a vent for the exhaust on the side of the hull. I do not think it is easy to add it in after the fact and I would most likely have to go with an aftermarket heater if I did it now. That being said, the WT has a door, so a heater would work on that boat. In the UCC, it is just a vinyl drop cover (no door). I do not think a heater is 100% necessary in my neck of the woods though.

One issue I have seen is in the chain locker. Since it will get wet in there, some people have placed a spacer between the wench and plating, like a 3/8 white cutting board piece, to not have metal against metal in an area that is not looked at on a regular basis. Just my two cents. Again, thanks for another great video.

I've heard about that too. I'll check it out. Thanks for the heads up

What is the head room in the cabin?

6 foot 3 inches to fully clear the roof. Inside, there is a couple additional inches when you are at the helm.
