@Supafresh63 жыл бұрын
@@vigilant. Hopefully. Rn electric bikes are 3× the price upfront and seeing how most are attracted to bikes for their low cost, might be longer than 12 years for bikes. To get an electric bike with 200 miles per charge, you'll need to spend 25,000- 30,000$. For that price you can just get a telsa. I rlly want electric motorcycles to be popular but rn the battery banks aren't optimized enough

Trident is going to be the last nail in the coffin of both CB 650R and the CB500X. It's better to live with the Trident knowing it's limitations, instead of a wannabe Adv like CB500X. The pricing of Trident should make Honda realize it's arrogance towards Indian consumers by pricing their products ridiculously. Brilliant work by Triumph India.
@brendonfernandes28773 жыл бұрын
Did you read the review? The Trident has very bad ground clearance. You need to watch out for speedbreakers when riding one up. Riding two up with luggage is going to hammer the exhaust. The Cb500x will not have this problem so those looking for a tourer won't be happy with this bike.
@rohit_paradkar3 жыл бұрын
CB650R...maybe, but the 500X is a tourer and that’s a different segment and has a different target audience.
@shubhenduchatterjee49673 жыл бұрын
@@brendonfernandes2877 Agree, but a motorcycle lives 95% of it's life in city streets or highways, specially in India. Moreover, roads without tar are termed as offroad these days, again here in India. Running a few psi higher air pressure will sort out the scraping issues (I know it well as my z800 used to scrape every damn place). My point is, I'd much rather be happy getting this and live with it's capabilities, rather than buying an exorbitantly priced wannabe ADV.
@shubhenduchatterjee49673 жыл бұрын
@@rohit_paradkar Agree with this statement too. Just 2 questions: 1. If you have the money, would you pick the 500X for the price at which Honda has launched it? 2. On similar lines, would you pick the CB650R at nearly 2L more with ex-showroom price (translating into 2.5L more when you look into on-road cost)
@brendonfernandes28773 жыл бұрын
@@shubhenduchatterjee4967 Are you kidding me? I spent 35k on a full system exhaust for my Z650 which I hate and has given me trouble with the cops when the rest of my bike is fully legal because I was tired of hitting speed breakers. Riding solo I would regularly touch very large speedbreakers unless I crawled over them at 5 kmph. That was a big risk for me as I had to brake to a completely standstill and people would almost ram me from behind because no one usually goes so slow on speedbreakers. Taking a pillion would make the issue extremely bad. In the city itself I would touch many speedbreakers when riding with a pillion. I would constantly ride looking out for bad speedbreakers. In just 3 months my decat had a slight dent in it while just riding in the city.

I like the gearing and torque best about the bike. The handling is also exceptional. The only downside I have experienced is the seat after an hour, and the suspension is not good for potholes and lumps in the road. Hopefully a gel saddle will come out soon. Overall it is well worth the money, and a fun bike to own. Regards from America from a former Indian resident (a very long time ago).

Cheap is all relative. Once I bought a 3M electrical tape as thats what the electrical store gave me. My electrician came to my home to fix something and when he saw the tape he was shocked and called me a rich boy for buying such an expensive tape ! :P Similarly this bike is bloody expensive for us Indians but worldwide its the cheapest Triumph bike you can buy by a decent margin. Even in India his bike is priced very well vis a vis the competition. The Kawasaki Z650 and Ninja 650 are severely outclassed by this bike which is about 60k more on road.
