This is one the best reviews of this bike and is spot on, every bit. I own this (exact color too!) in Bengalore. Regarding the ground clearance, this bike would scrape any badly constructed speed bumps. I ride solo, and I'm on the heavier side. I stand on the pegs to avoid scraping the underbelly. Also, the minute quirk regarding the seat height, when the bike was new I had to tiptoe. But as the suspension worn in, now I'm able to flat foot. When I test rode it, I was fully able to flat foot, but was shocked that my new bike (with same preload settings I wasn't able to initially). Also the suspension initially felt stiff and had softened over time. I have so far done 700kms on it. It's just a month old. I'm 5'7. I absolutely love how it handles. This bike is my everyday commute. It doesn't really grab attention in the streets and in the parking lot. But when you are above 5k RPM ppl definitely notice a big bike on coming. Hope this helps.

Just traded in a 2019 street twin,which was a fine bike, but I wanted to experience a revvy triple. First impressions, it weight, or lack of it, its handling, the fact that it encourages you to ride hard. It makes me smile. I,ve encountered no noticeable throttle lag, the fact is... The first gear is very short and you change up in seconds, commuting and traffic splitting, simple on this bike. You can get into trouble with it, due to its 'thrash me' character. Would suit someone who has had a year or so in the saddle. Thanks for the vids lbig fellas.

I'm trying to decide between those two. What do you say now, do you regret trading the street twin? I can't test ride neither, they don't do test rides where I live. I own a MT07, and I'm afraid the less power and 5 speed of the twin will be underwhelming. Thanks

Own one for two months now, I am a relatively new rider. Did my lessons on a Honda 650R which has a heavier feel in comparison. This is very user friendly. Ride the trident to work on a daily basis. Cuts easy through traffic, has a good punch when you need it, I never have to down shift to get it. Solid bike but nice and light. Can flick it around easy into corners. Very happy purchase, I still find myself just awing at it's beauty before reluctantly throwing the cover over her 😍

Haven't seen one up close but from online reviews it looks very small for someone over 6', colour choice doesn't do it any favours either. Must say I really enjoy your reviews and the depth you go into, keep it up. A scoring system, based on level of difficulty for the DIY mechanic could be useful - oil change, chain adjustment, lever adjustment, service intervals, spark plug access.... any potential difficulties for the home mechanic to do it themselves

Excellent review, you really do get a feel for the bike with those ride past shots. I think I'll stick with my 2014 T100. One thing makes me laugh though is the posters complaining about the bike not being made in the UK, so wouldn't buy it. There are support teams - design, marketing, sales etc based in the UK depending on sales on this and other models. Take off your blinkers, and buy the bike best for you, irrespective of where it's made or where the parts come from. In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king

It always want to play ! It's nervous enought to give you great sensations ! You can also ride it just to cruise and have a lot of pleasure on the road. This bike gives you a lot of confidence! You can handle it very easily. I would really recommend this bike ! If you're a young biker with a A2 licence, just try this bike, you'll fall in love with it for sure ! And if you're a "old" biker (with years of experience of riding I mean), I'm sure you'll have a lot of pleasure with this Triumph Trident too.

Excellent review. Just ordering one in Paris! It is heaps of fun. The only thing that bothered me slightly on the test ride was the lag when accelerating in first gear. The other thing that no one ever mentions in reviews is that Triumph is one of the only manufacturers that puts the horn in the right place! Owned a Trident 660 for 6 months now, love it. Im 5ft 10 85kg, I think I'm probably the max person size for the bike without looking a bit odd tho. Also the throttle lag is a bit strange, but you get used to it and then it's a non issue really; just weird at first. I would like to get an aftermarket exhaust soon though. Also: definitely worth buying a 7x5" plate to replace the monster that comes with it as standard (this is technically illegal, but the coppa would have to be in a really bad mood to actually get you in to trouble over it though).

I hope I can save up enough next year, really want one and I bet it would sound great with a proper exhaust system!👍

Great Video and bike review, it’s a very good looking bike in my opinion, I will most probably test ride it next week, hopefully. On a side fun note, Ol’ man if Disney ever decide to do a live action movie for the little mermaid you should be casted as her father king triton :)...Anyway keep up those great reviews...cheers ✌🏼👍🏼

Great review. I can see this going straight to the top of the sales charts for middleweight nakeds. The Aprilia 660 Tuono has been mentioned but I think you have to look at the price. This bike is a great package for the money.

awesome review guys, really comprehensive and complete . I've been tracking this bike since anounced im very interested in acquiring one but i cant decide, it´s either that or a street twin. I do a lot of in town commute and its moderate to low traffic most days, sometimes i got a pillion rider with me, and at some point in the near future i would love to do some light cruising , can you guys help me out on to decide wich fits better on those contiditions?. Big fan and once again awesome review guys.
@MrDarcy-OlMan3 жыл бұрын
Both excellent bikes. We’d include the T100 in the shortlist too (the new one looks nice!). I guess down to looks. Which one would you want to look back at when you get off?
@jorgezt4353 жыл бұрын
@@MrDarcy-OlMan to be honest i really dig the modern classics that triumph has on store but this one feels autentic and fresh without all that futuristic stuff going on like the MT09/MT07 so i guess trident has it , and would you rate it for cruising?
@dariahayward23193 жыл бұрын
Same. I couldn’t decide until I went to the shop and sat on both. I ordered a trident. Hasn’t come in yet. Happy shopping

@@jorgezt435 ok yes good point. It was pretty comfortable so I guess it would be fine on longer rides. Not like a ‘proper’ cruiser but ok

A really cool bike. I am glad they are making more learner friendly bikes. This is a very good looking bike. Probably plenty of real world power.

Great review thanks, I've currently got a cb1000r love it to bits but wonder how long I will keep my license if I were ever to open it up on the road. Wandering whether I might actually get even more enjoyment out of a trident

Hope Triumph do well with this nice all round bike. Don’t catch you shoe lace ever on the gear selector lever Mr Darcy will you ! I nearly came off 2 years ago on my T120 due to that. I learnt my lesson. Auckland. NZ

Yes we are sure they will. Thanks buddy yes you’re absolutely right about laces. He didn’t ride it because of the Nanny State motorcycle laws here he can’t
