Were you testing bow performance on COMFORT or PERFORMANCE setting?

Comfort. You'd see him pull over the hump if he was in performance
@sheyanderson43712 жыл бұрын
The way he described the draw, I would assume it was on comfort. I have asked a few shops in my area and say they come in set to comfort from Bowtech. Pretty good speed for comfort and owning a Revolt X, I can attest that in comfort, 70#'s feels like you are pulling a 60lb bow, so I would hope the same goes with 80# limbs.

Appreciate all the reviews.... but Bowtech drop the ball on this....how's is an 80lb limb only 340fps....my Insanity @27", 400gr, 70lb shoots 298-300fps. No need more strained at 80lb

Why in the world would you even shoot a 350 grain arrow out of 80#'s? Under 5 grains a pound. Dry 🔥

Pretty creative way to get rid of all the Revolt X risers that Bowtech must have had in stock.
@YoureSoVane3 жыл бұрын
Take Revolt X riser and cams, but use Reckoning 38 limbs? You get about 80# draw. The more you know.

@@YoureSoVane I want a Revolt X with SS cams...
@YoureSoVane3 жыл бұрын
@@raywarner4704 I gotta check, but I think SS cams will add draw weight. The limb deflection chart shows how much they move for the draw cycle, and I'm pretty sure the SS cams deflect limbs more.

Soo could a guy swap limbs from a 70lb RevoltX?
@dennisdallege26283 жыл бұрын
why wouldn't you just buy a 70 Revolt X?
@kcb1423 жыл бұрын
@@dennisdallege2628 he clearly already has a 70lber and wants 80lbs 😂
@YoureSoVane3 жыл бұрын
Yes. You could also just buy the Reckoning 38 limbs, which would also do the same thing. I'm 99% sure they're the same limbs.

Unless you're going to Africa why in the world would one want to prematurely wear out their joints shooting 80#'s? To me it's totally nuts. Everyone knows even 50#'s will blow an arrow thru an elk and 60 to 70 is a no brainer. Seems there are more and more 80# bow limbs available nowadays. 👍👍

Lots more of us are hunting wild hogs with our bows. I have been hunting both elk and hogs for years. Believe me, A hog is a whole lot tougher than an elk. I've seen arrows out of 70lb bows bounce off a hog's shoulder lol.

If you can shoot it comfortably there's no reason to think it will cause premature wear on your joints.

If you need 80#’s , then why not choose a crossbow that has more # to offer ,and safer on your body . How many people can pull back an 80# bow shooting 30 + arrows when practicing ,and sighting in ? I’m 64 yrs old and shoot 60lbs since I was in my early 40’s . Now Shooting bowtech sr350 , and Diamond deploy Sb . Trying to put off buying a crossbow as long as I can because a compound is so much fun to shoot .

I found Bowtech bows are not fast. My RX5 80lbs 28dl, shoots 500gn arrow at 284fps

No thanks bowtech, My rx5 & Mathews v3 31 are in the same speed range with a heavier arrow 299 fps 70lbs 420 gr arrow.
