I just picked up a 23 RX that just came in. Right away I felt comfortable and confident. Coming off a 450 I didn’t know what to expect. Very playful and enough power for a 52 year old guy yo have fun on. I put the Acerbis frame guards and a full Yoshimura with a spark arrester screen. Really woke it up. Also having a 80’s Honda retro graphics kit done up. For 8500 MSRP it is a a great value for what you get.

Nice I have been thinking about adding a Yoshi, I’m 40 and care more about the playful feel then raw power. Plan on putting the Acerbis frame guards on as well. Retro graphics sounds awesome

We are working on that but we like to make sure we take our time and ride the bikes in different conditions with different riders.

Really hard, but It was soo clean that I had to do a intro and specs. Yeah I’m not sure it needs very much, probably add some bash protection but that’s about it.

How is the maintenance on the 300 vs the 250fx? I am torn between the KTM 300, Honda crf250rx and the 250fx. This is my first bike and I want the best jack of all trades with the low maintenance. Live in SLC as well!!

A 2-Stroke has WAY less maintenance then any 4-stroke. I would say I like working on the YZ250FX better than the CRF250RX. Where in SLC are you at?

Yeah the CRF is much improved over the old 2019 models….jury is still out in which one is better

so it basically has the same power and weight as my 08 ktm 250 xcf but in red… whenever honda brings an 250rx to the market with a hydraulic clutch and 6 speed is when i’ll buy one. only gripe i have with my current bike is the absence of a 6 speed

yeah not a fan of the 6 speed. They Hydraulic clutch eh I like it better on my KTMs but the wire isn't all bad when they are new.

Thats a good question. A enduro bike has gearing, suspension, motor mapping for single track and enduro situations which is not all that awesome in the wide open fast desert stuff we have lots of here in Utah. So the Cross country bikes the KTM XC, KTM XCF, CRFRX, YZFX and so on are closed course cross country race bikes that have the suspension, gearing and engine for this type of riding. A enduro bike does not like huge sand whoops in 5th gear haha. I love our KTM 300XCW in enduro and singletrack situations but its not all that fun in the desert fast flowy stuff.

@@dirtbikesam I was going to buy a wr250f but it is geared much higher then a fx 250 so I don’t understand why would a off road bike made to jump logs and creeks be geared much higher then a ( dirt bike )
