Thought these Kei cars would be dangerously slow for Australia but it actually seems to keep up quite well and be on par with a lot of small cars and dual cab utes in performance. Still not gonna leave anything behind at the lights but it’s not unsafe.

Or maybe cars are getting too damn fast ? In a world where a Prius can do a 0-100kph in 7.2 seconds, I really think we should slow things out. Anyway we are heading towards that with all the craze & hype about walking, cycling and trains.

@aidang1254 I've been driving a naturally aspirated Honda N-ONE Premium for a year now. Not as quick accelerating as the turbo version but it's definitely not dangerous. You've got your mornings where sometimes the butthead behind you is in a rush but I won't lie, it always brings a smile to my face when somebody drives super slow and I can pass them! Enjoy the drive, who cares? 😂

This can go from 64ps to 100ps, 0-100 in 9s. The S660 can do 0-100 in 7s too with Hondata or Blitz powercontroller

Excellent, surprised at the weight, think the old Peugeot 205 was around the 800kg mark in three door trim with the 1100cc donk...

It looks like you haven't tested the 2024 triton at the moment there is no 0-100 video specifically the 2.4l twin turbo version

I'd import one with the Power Controller or Hondata ECU Flash. This can go from 64ps to 100ps, 0-100 in 9s. The S660 can do 0-100 in 7s too

After seeing this, I wonder how Mitsubishi managed to get the Mirage to be such a performance turd in comparison.

My wife has a K, not as nice as this one but it well keeps up with traffic. MILEAGE !! What's the real world mileage on that?? I know from experience that it is pretty good, but disappointingly not amazing, which is the fault of the Govt. regulations that created the Kei class car. Fact: You can chip the turbos up to 80hp and if you change out the turbo for a bigger unit (think a unit the size of a clenched fist) and you can reliably-ish get 120 hp. ZoomZoom and adios warranty.

So I was spot on with my prediction of 13 seconds flat because that's the average in between using brake hold or not. I should get my prize soon, yes. 🏆

Well done! Although I didn’t say average 0-100. Excellent guess though!

Toy cars not so common here. But in UK and Europe there are plenty of them. Paris, Rome etc they are crammed into every lane way. And make a lot of sense. Perhaps inner Sydney or Melbourne, they could do the same here. CVT gearbox. No thanks. Remember them from mopeds in the 70's, and an old Daf car run by rubber bands. But then I don't like automatics of any sort. Part of the driving experience is changing gears. Actually looks like a well appointed. Well thought out little car.
@gogarage10 ай бұрын
There is a manual version of this, very rare for a kei car!
@djsangre8 ай бұрын
That’s not a rubber band cvt like in the old days. It also has a manual mode with pad shifters and gears.

Shit me your roads look as poorly maintained as ours in NZ. Seems to be a constant across the western world? Coincidence? 😜
