I really like this channel. The reviews are so unbiased and he doesn't just go with the herd. He had the courage to state (correctly) that the dual screens have its advantages, and that the CVT is great.

Okay, so…. This QX55 needs a panoramic sunroof, an 8-speed transmission and should borrow the same engine as found in the Q60S Red Sport. Who agrees?

It's a great looking vehicle and like you stated, it basically has no bad angle. My only major gripe would be that this shape isn't based on any current Infiniti vehicle so it's brand new. So it would have been easy to have a standard panoramic roof instead of the regular sized one - especially for the price point.

I agree. There's a few interior changes I'd like to see made especially for the Sensory, and hopefully we'll see more optional features and packages for the 2023 model year.

What nobody mentions is the suspension and engine are identical to their QX50 SUV.

I like the exterior design. I agree, they nailed this styling . It arguably eclipses the QX50 as eye candy and i would agree, there isn’t a bad visual angle in this vehicle. However I think the interior could use some wood trim to breakup some of the monochromatic textures between the dash, the center console and the doors. and the top touch screen needs to be replaced with a better screen. Additionally this vehicle needs a panoramic sunroof. This car is still on my shopping list but I’m going to wait to see if Infiniti is going to make some interior changes. I also like the sliding and reclining rear seat which adds a tone of value to the vehicles interior space. Does the rear trunk lid open with the remote control? I also agree that the Nissan / Infiniti CVT are exceptional.

The interior has real wood, at least in the 2023 Sensory trim.

Rear visibility looks pretty bad. Does it have a camera based rear view mirror option (similar to the Lexus NX)?

The infotainment center and gauge cluster are so “long in the tooth.” And I don’t know why they gave it the troublesome Jatco CVT transmission when most of the 2022 Nissan models now have a 9 speed transmission. The backup camera resolution is terrible. It is powered by an innovative turbocharged four-cylinder engine that uses variable compression-called VC-Turbo, or VC-T for short. Read this analysis to better understand how it works. The engine makes 268 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque and pairs with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) that directs power to either the front or all four wheels. The engine seamlessly swaps between high compression during steady cruising and low compression during hard acceleration. While it never exhilarates when the pedal hits the metal, only those seeking a seriously quick crossover will be disappointed. Unfortunately, the engine is loud under heavy throttle, and the CVT makes this worse, especially around town.

Technology (infotainment) is pretty dated, but the biggest let down is the CVT. Who in their right mind decided that putting a CVT in a sports luxury crossover was a good idea?

The CVT drives much smoother than a traditional transmission, with no lurching between gears, since they're infinite. Going up hills is also a treat in a CVT.

This vehicle is not ready for a $57,000 price tag there’s to many better vehicle’s out there and they don’t have a CVT transmission either so I’ll wait or get something better .
