As a owner of the sportster s I would definitely recommend the lower rider
@tomwinner53504 ай бұрын
I felt that. Right in my lower back specifically.
@Unbracedbike2622 жыл бұрын
Not to sound biased, owning a sportster s. But you say the low rider has a lot more torque but that they have similar horsepower? The sportster s has 20 more horses while being down about 20 torque. Fair to say it has “a lot more horsepower”
@MotoJournoKris2 жыл бұрын
Yep that's fair, on paper 20 hp isn't much, but in reality the bigger rev range that comes with it does make a significant difference that sets the Sportster S apart.

Dude! You made it clear for me. Thank you! One question- would going for the Sportster S now be a better option over waiting for the upcoming Custom 1250? I love the tech assortment in the Sportster S but just wary of the hard suspension.
@MotoJournoKris2 жыл бұрын
It'd probably depend on the differences between the two, as I haven't seen much info on the Custom. I do think a model with some longer travel plusher suspension would certainly have a place, but we'll have to wait and see.

Why didn’t Harley-Davidson use a quick shifter in sportster S. Maybe healtech shifter will help.

Would have been a nice inclusion for sure, and they do have one for the Pan America in the Screamin' Eagle Performance range but sadly it doesn't fit the Sportster S...

I really liked the Sportster S, but I think the Fatbob will be popular for those who want the more traditional Harley V-Twin performance and feel.

The 1st time I saw a Sportster S, I said to myself, self that's one fugly bike. I still say it. Nothing flows, it's like everything looks wise was an afterthought. I revere my new Lowrider S looks and performance wise.Not the least interested in tech. My 1200 GS was loaded with it and most eventually failed. Sorry, but if I want to get rowdy, I'll ride my Z900.

I do wonder if in 20-30 years most of the bikes relying heavily on electronics will simply not be working, and there just won't be a whole sector of then-Classic machines as a result...

I think the Harley-Davidson street rod 750 is the best handling bike from HARLEY stable . The new Nightster 975 T will be close. Never rode the sportster S yet.

The best handling performance bike Harley ever made is one they don’t sell anymore but is still available for purchase. It’s the Livewire. It out accelerates the Ducati Panigale V4. I have one it it is truly amazing.
