What I'm particularly interested in is if there's been any current news regarding the reduction in the medicare premium as a result of the 50% reduction in the acquisition cost of the Alzheimer's drug.

I have been retired from law enforcement for the last 5 years and will turn 65 in 2026. I never paid social security working for the government as we had our own pension. Big question, I am short quarters I have 38 quarters so i know i wont get SS unless i get a job and pay the two quarters. Like i said i have paid Medicare for the last 32 years and i read somewhere that if you dont have 40 quarters of work paying SS that you will pay 270 for Part A and 170 for part B as Part A is to be free for everybody on Medicare. I am confused because I paid into Medicare all those decades why would i not get both. Also since i have a gov pension, I will lose 40 percent of my SS because of the windfill offset, but there is a bill going to the senate to get rid of the offset and will probably pass, Biden will sign before leaving office. When I get 65 the county will cut my grant from 600 to 300 a month as the grant is paying my very high meds for me and my wife currently. My Kaiser senior advantage will be like 180 a month so i can use the extra to grant pay for my wife's Kaiser that runs around 900 because she is 7 years younger then me. Can anybody explain this???
