I find it fascinating how much they havent changed over time.. I have a 2014 F3 Agostini Edition (1 of 300 worldwide) and seems (especially after your comments) they still have the exact same rubbish mirrors, the same tail taidy, exactly the same body work, motor (even the fuse box design and placement) and the same dry weight. This could be considered "lazy" for number of manufacturers, however mine has the same howl, the same feeling of being super special and the same hunger for the bends. I'm 6'1 so it feels small, cramped, rist-ey, and uncomfortable and I F*****G love it!! I have a V4 Streetfighter as well which i love, but the F3 feels like going on a date with Kate Beckinsale every time i fire it up... You can have my F3 when you pry the keys out of my cold, dead hands!!!!

So I fell in love with MV over the triples. I didn’t even know they had inline 4 versions for quite a while. As a result I’m afraid somehow I’m forever sticking to the triples. That’s part of what makes it exotic to me I guess. And it’s my first MV love story. Does that make any sense? I feel weird for not lusting over the i4 MV’s but despite being better bikes that makes them too “normal” for me somehow

What a gorgeous machine. The color reminds me a bit of the '86 BMW K100RS I owned back in the day. Depending on the angle of the sunlight hitting it, it would appear different shades of red. Not quite as lustrous as this Aprilia, unfortunately. And who'd have thought that putting on an Akrapovich silencer would be a downgrade in looks? ;)

I’ve ridden or owned all the bikes I’ve ever wanted to try - Ducati, BMW, Harley, Fireblades, Husky, Kwaka, Yam, Suzi, Triumph, Aprilia etc…… but the one I’ve never ridden is an MV. I’ve always wanted one, but I’ve waited so long that I’m a bit frightened it’ll feel like a let down…..kinda like meeting your heroes. I was really keen to try all the above, and mostly as good as I’d hoped, but had high expectations disappointed by the all the Triumphs and Aprilias I’ve ridden. You mention the engaging ride of the MV, so maybe it’ll be fine. What would the perfect MV be, if you were only ever to ride one of them? I’d think a direct competitor to the Panigale V4s would be the dream.

The triple exhaust on the base model is cool. The RR is clearly the better choice. However, for 20k, it should have Ohlins and more modern spec Brembos, not to mention a Brembo master cylinder insteado of the Nissin that has caused to many brake complaints. It's got the looks and I'm sure the counter-rotating engine is helpful in the twisties. Tempting, just so many other little things they could easily have done better. You'd be at almost 25k by the time you swapped to Ohlins and better Brembos.

I think it will lift a little before it cuts in (in my experience this tends to be how these systems work)….
