I have a 2014 F3 Agostini with only 50 miles on it (still in run in mode)... Even with 8 years between the 2 bikes, the useless mirrors are still the same, power is the same output, weight is the same, the starter motor and motor sound the same and even the tail tidy is still the same unit! The only difference seems to be the updated body work and electronics! Mine comes out to play every 2 or 3 weeks and feels sooooo special every time i ride it.

All MV's are detuned out the factory which means you'll find the bike pulls like a freight train about 7-8 thousand. Once you get into the ECU you'll see the throttle, torque and timing maps are detuned for lazy response because believe me that little 800 is a beast when you unleash the power which will get you into a shite load of trouble. As for the brakes, it's due to the ABS because if you switch the ABS off the brakes are super potent.

Its certainly a looker Bruce. Don't think it's designed around folks the size of us. Was riding my wife's similar sized 675 Street Triple recently, sounded alot like the MV. You certainly get better value with the Triumph Triple. You get the bragging rights and exclusively with the MV.

It looks kinda subtle to me, in comparison with the Brutale. I realise the two are different bikes, but I was expecting something a little more lairy. However, having said that, the sound and the speed more than make up for the looks. Oh man, that triple sound 👌

Hi TeapotOne, just watched your video, loved it. I noticed you took the road I take to work most days. If you want nice curved roads take the A1101 from Bury St Edmund's to walkers snack bar at the 5 ways roundabout in Mildenhall. There's a bunch of 30mph areas but still fun to take though. Just a idea for your next video.

But logically unless you are a MV enthusiast to spend that sort of money you would buy the BMW 1000rr every time, but thank you Bruce for putting yourself through it for our pleasure.

I have 3 MV,s, so hard core MV fan. but this bike will be a very hard sell for MV, 21.5k over identical F3 Rosso, 13.9k, trending online ,only difference is nice carbon fairy and single Akro and Race ECU, and levers for additional 8.6 k extra, Thats ducati V4 panigale money, which is the obvious choice. At least with standard MV superveloce and S superveloce there is a Circa 4k difference you get more a race kit with 3 individual exhaust, nice seat pod and very boutique spoked Kineo wheels. Was waiting for you to mention front brake, F3 and superveloce need one pump to hard, brutale 3 cylinders done suffer this problem. I can see this bike quietly disappearing from MV,s price list, along with the person who convinced MV to try and sell a Carbon faired 750cc class bike for panigale V4 money.

I have been looking at a zx9r and 12r recently myself as I got a Tl1000r and it's been so unreliable I get pissed off with fixing it.
@HalfdeadRider2 жыл бұрын
@@stichupman Definitely worth getting a good one mate, both are great bikes, but overall I much prefer the 9r (I know a few people with 12's). The 9r is a fraction quicker than the 12r up to around 140. But that's on paper, real world performance depends on many factors but both much the same, but the 12r has a bit of a higher top speed.
@stichupman2 жыл бұрын
@@HalfdeadRider yeah my dad had a 9r and my uncle had a 12r a few years back. I quite fancy them in blue but not sure which. I like the sportiness of the 9 but the big lazy engine in the 12.
