@RegularCars please do a review on the 2017-2019 Fusion Sport, they are pretty badass unknown sleepers (the equivalent of a baby Taurus SHO) they are AWD twin turbo V6 from the factory and make 325hp and 380ftlbs stock with a 6 speed auto and electronic dampening suspension they are pretty loaded for the price. The suspension literally firms up in Sport mode electronically and the handle capabilities basically double, less body roll, less front end nose dive under hard braking, and at high speeds on a bumpy road it makes the car alot more controllable! Just trying to get one of my favorite overlooked cars out there so they can be appreciated. The reason I'd say they are pretty unknown is they only made them for 3 years and made less than 28,000 of them all together even though they were faster than the Taurus SHO they were kind of over looked I'd say cause the SHO was produced twice as long as had 40 more HP, but here is the kicker though the Fusion makes 40ftlbs more torque!

My Altima accident experience was a couple years back when a woman in one rear ended me, she hit me hard enough she was not able to flee in the car. She had to opt for the flee on foot route. She successfully dodged a truck only a few steps later to run directly into the path of a guy on a bicycle. This new accident she caused ended up breaking her leg and one of his arms. And I kid you not when the first officer arrived his first words to her were " YOU AGAIN?! "

Worst car accident I've ever seen was a white Altima zipping across the 405 from the carpool lane to make an exit, pit maneuvered themselves on a Prius, spun across all the lanes and slammed into the median. They contemplated life for about 10 seconds, then sped off full throttle down the freeway with wheels pointing all different directions in a blue cloud of oil smoke.

They are as follows: - front bumper held on by duct tape - broken taillight - interior that smelled like weed and fast food grease - wheel that was missing at least one lug nut - bald tires, but all 4 were different levels of bald. - an engine that smelled like it was burning oil - 3 dashboard warning lights

A year ago this month, I worked at a car dealership and was learning the ropes with a coworker of mine. We were taking an Altima to a customer about 35 miles away. This guy drove a Nissan Versa note and seemed pretty chill, we even joked about Altima drivers. And the car possessed him. He started going 90 on the 405 and tried weaving through traffic. The Altima is otherworldly.

The first new car I got was a 2018 Altima, before I knew what I know now about cars. Oddly enough it was actually very reliable, traded it in earlier this year at 90k miles on the original CVT (I cannot tell you the amount of relief when I got rid of it). Also because of the insane car market the dealer gave $2600 more for it than I owed on it. I absolutely ripped them off.

I can't believe how much of this is true. One of my childhood Friends got into 3 hit and runs with the car and we ended up calling it the TANK because it just took the hits and kept going with stupid cheap parts from the local junk yard, stop signs and ditches no problem. I can also attest to the strength of the front windshield as one buddy got thrown from the back seat ,to on top of the dashboard/windshield (Without a seatbelt, his fault) when the driver emergency braked at a 4 way stop that he almost ran. When you said “You drive a Nissan Altima, MORGAN” I choked because my friend Morgan drives an Altima 😭 one time I got in her car and her cupholders were filled to the brim with orange Gatorade. When she saw how confused I was, she just said “I don’t know how to get it out of there” Owning a Versa is a similar experience but worse. At 12k a pop, my dad kept buying them for the family. It feels like driving in a small Rubbermaid tub. My first one got totaled (not my fault), and my second one, like the harbinger of bad luck cheap Nissans are, had a tree fall on it four days after I got it. I determined I do not have Big Altima Energy, and as such, gave mine to my sibling in lieu of a 1989 Volvo 240, a sweet bastion of safety and predictability. Miraculously, both my sibling and mom’s Versas haven’t had the CVTs fall out of them yet. Knock on wood.

The girl that got out of the altima said "Oh its fine" and then walked into the store. That reminds me of the Malaise Era Oldsmobile Cutlasses. Those cars had an uncanny ability to keep on running while looking ready for the junkyard. I used to see so many beater/rustbucket examples that they seem incomplete and unfinished without rust on them. The Ford Aerostar minivan is another example of a vehicle that seemed incomplete and unfinished without rust. I guess that it was meant to be a retro car for those who were nostalgic for 1970s Fords.

Altima Story: My mother owned a 3rd gen Altima. Considering that it was her first new car (the last car was a Ford Taurus with a broken transmission that couldn't go in reverse), she thought that she bought a car that could last me and anything else that was thrown at our family. Well, that didn't work out, as when she was at the OB/GYN while pregnant with my little brother, it caught on fire. After the fire department put the heap of poo out and the insurance wrote it off, she took the insurance money and went out and bought an Accord.

I want to tell you about this spray painted Altima. It was spray painted matte black and it had a MASSIVE spoiler on it. It also had a baby on board sticker. This Altima also had a massive off road bumper on the front. I'm pretty sure I also had 3 alloy wheels and one steel wheel. It had a 2 foot long metal rod poorly mig welded as a shift knob. It had a guage cluster from a different car just poorly shoved on the dashboard. It had a big metal knob attached to the steering wheel. It had a 5 point racing seatbelt that was only attached to the headrest. All the dashboard controls were removed and were sitting on the passenger seat with extended wires attached to them. It had a propane tank for a BBQ grill sitting in the back seat with a hose connecting it to the engine for "more power". All the electronics on the center console were just ripped out and were laying on the back seat next to the propane tank.

I bought a 2012 Altima because it literally was the only car Canada Drives would sell me with my credit rating. It was a former rental car which means it had rental car tires. Have you ever ridden a skateboard 🛹 from 1970 with clay wheels? The CVT started to act up in a year, but that was ok because it was repossessed...Then I went to detox and rehab and got my life together. True story.

Btw - buy here, pay here type places that finance used car buyers with poor credit love cheap POS that they will sell for $3k down, and $80/week payments. Then within a year the car gets repo’d, and they sell it again for $3k down, and $80/week. Some of those cars go through 16 owners in 5 years! And transmission problems be damned - dealership will do the cheapest repair possible to get it back in rotation. Glad you were able to better yourself and your situation.

I've had a 2007 and 2012 Nissan Altima, drove over 100,000 miles on both, and issues with the transmission. They were solid cars.

My old man was “gifted” an Altima as a company car back in 2016 as he drives a lot with his job and within under 40k miles the transmission took a mechanical shit. Ironically I’m the one that caused the inevitable “Altima accident” when I backed it into some roof trusses we had laying on the ground for the garage dad and I built for his truck, and to this day he never figured out I was the one that did it. He simply noticed it one day and said “fuck yeah I have a reason to get rid of this piece of shit!” You’re welcome pops

Lifetime warranty covers the transmission. I am at 120 k and not a single problem in the world. Just hating to be hating. Love the MPG, acceleration and handling. One of my favorite vehicles for long solo trips.
